HAMSTERSCAPING WITH REAL PLANTS
The hamster scaper's heart will beat faster now, because a fresh plant in the enclosure is, of course, the ultimate natural decoration for a hamster scaping enclosure. There are actually many possibilities here, depending on the substrate. If you're using a "soil-like" substrate like humus , you could choose to plant the plants directly in the ground. The roots will then continue to grow in the soil. This way, you have a permanent plant in the enclosure. How quickly the animals eat the plant depends on the rodent species. Mice, dwarf hamsters, and hamsters are often more relaxed about the plants. Gerbils, on the other hand, nibble on them more quickly.
When hamster scaping, you can also choose to place the plant in a pot in the enclosure. This makes it easier to remove the plant from the enclosure and allow it to grow. Watering is best done with a plant sprayer .

- Create a separate planting zone with humus (a corner is often enough).

Eerst enkele takjes ervan gehaald om uit te testen of ze het lekker vond. Daarna heel de plant in haar verblijf. Ze is super enthousiast en kruipt door heel de plant om alle takjes er vanaf te knagen

Plantje kwam mooi aan, hamster ging er ook meteen aan knabbelen. Na 1 nacht was het plantje compleet gemolesteerd... hamster heeft er heerlijk in gewroet en gegraven. fijn voor hem maar voor in het vervolg een beetje prijzig voor 1 nacht. Er ligt ook een hoop losse aarde in het hok nu :)

Helaas is alweer dood. Of ik doe t totaal verkeerd met deze plantjes of ze gaan snel dood, hij kwam wel goed aan.

Mijn hamster vond het fantastisch! Omdat hij het wel erg snel opat, heb ik na 1 dag het plantje tijdelijk uit zijn verblijf gehaald. Toen zag ik dat het toch wel een zwakker plantje was, met wat schimmelige wortels.

Mooie stevige plant. Mijn hamsters smullen er van.
Hamster vind het heerlijk! Kan het plantje tegen z'n kooi aanzetten en dan knabbelt hij zelf de blaadjes eraf.
