Which fresh plants for rodents and rabbits are still available? Discover seasonal plants, year-round greenery and dried herbs at DRD.
September is a transition month
Summer is slowly coming to an end, and our range of fresh plants changes with the season.
Many organic seasonal plants are only available during spring and summer. The exact period varies by species. As autumn approaches, several varieties temporarily disappear from the range.
That does not mean fresh greenery has to disappear altogether. Grass Lily and Vitamin Plant are generally available year-round, while dried herbs, leaves and flowers provide plenty of variety outside the fresh plant season.
View all fresh plantsWhy do some plants disappear?
We work with living plants and follow their natural season as much as possible. Some species are seasonal and are therefore only available during part of the year.
While seasonal plants are available, they can be offered fresh. Afterwards, year-round greenery and other forms of natural enrichment become useful alternatives.

At DRD, we think it is natural for a nature-based range to change throughout the year. Seasonal plants return in spring, the selection is broad in summer, and the range shifts again as autumn approaches.
