A Degu cage should be spacious and a bit higher. Degus like to jump and climb so a slightly higher cage is very nice for them. All cages are equipped with platforms, so that the animals have several places to sit. Degus find it very pleasant to sit a little higher on a plateau.
How big should the Degu cage be?
A good Chinchilla cage is at least 1 m high and has a depth of 50 cm. Degus are social animals that prefer to live together in a group. They must therefore always be kept with at least two animals. The more animals are present, the larger the cage should be.
How can you give Degus more exercise?
