Witte Molen Badzand has been specially developed for small steppe and desert inhabitants. The particularly fine grain and velvety structure nourishes the coat and frees it from dander, dirt and grease. High-quality bath sand is also indispensable for nail care. This allows the rodents to wear their nails naturally.
Witte Molen Bath Sand removes excess fat and moisture from the coat of chinchillas and rodents. Chinchilla sand is an important care product for your chinchilla. A chinchilla can wash itself with this purely natural product to keep the coat light and free of grease. The sand is also very suitable as a sand bath for other small rodents such as hamsters.

This bath sand is composed of 100% natural sepiolite, a mineral with excellent absorbent properties. It removes excess fats and moisture from the coat, keeping the coat of your chinchilla or other rodents in top condition. The larger grain structure ensures that the sand comes out easily from between the hair and causes less dust, which benefits both you and your pet.
What is Sepiolite?
Sepiolite is a mineral that belongs to the clay minerals. Sepiolite is often used as bathing sand for hamsters and other rodents because it mimics the properties of their natural habitat. Sepiolite is a natural mineral formed by the deposition of clayey sediment. It has a fine, granular texture similar to the soils in which hamsters dig and tunnel in the wild. Thanks to the presence of this clay, the tunnels remain intact in the wild.
Sepiolite is usually extracted through mining techniques, in which the sepiolite deposits are extracted from the ground. After extraction, these sepiolite deposits undergo a process of processing and purification. For example, sepiolite is also extracted from the desert in Syria ( original habitat of the Syrian Hamster ). Sepiolite is also mined in Mongolia. Mongolia has significant sepiolite reserves and is known for the presence of high-quality sepiolite deposits. The mineral is mainly mined in the southern regions of Mongolia ( native habitat of the Mongolian Gerbil )
Sepiolite has the property of absorbing moisture and fat, making it suitable as bath sand for rodents. It helps to clean the animal's coat and absorb excess oils. In addition, sepiolite can also help reduce odors.
Instructions for use Witte Molen Chinchilla Bath Sand
The Witte Molen Chinchilla Bathing Sand should be available in spacious sandboxes or in demarcated areas in the enclosure. This must be cleaned weekly with, for example, a sieve. The bath sand is also suitable as toilet sand. This should be replaced 2-3 times a week.
Give your rodent access to this bath sand every day for at least fifteen minutes, at a fixed time that you determine. You will see that your dwarf hamster, hamster, gerbil, chinchilla or degu enjoys this pampering moment and feels clean and fresh afterwards.

Heel fijn badzand. Onze goudhamster gebruikt het om in te rollen en als wc. De natte plekken droogt op als een harde bonk en is er makkelijk uit te zeven met een lepel of kleine thee zeef. Heel erg blij mee.

Goed zand! Mijn hamstertje zit graag in haar zandbad en gebruikt dit ook als toilet. Het enige nadeel is dat de zak waarin het komt niet handig is en niet goed afgesloten kan worden als je niet alles in 1x gebruikt.

Het badzand voelt zacht aan en stuift niet. Het is goed voor de vacht van onze hamster. Prachtig om naar te kijken hoe ze op haar rug ligt met 4 pootjes in de lucht en schurken maar door het zand. Haar vacht is mooi schoon en ze zit tussendoor nooit te krabbelen. ze heeft pas wat last van haar oog gehad dus hebben we het zand nu niet standaard in haar hok staan. Dit omdat ze dan toch wat last kreeg van haar oogje. eerst maar goed genezen.
