Marley is not suitable as a sand bath for guinea pigs and rabbits. Guinea pigs and rabbits do not need a sand bath like hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas, and degus. For these animals, it is preferable to choose suitable tunnels, hiding places, hay racks, litter boxes, or digging opportunities that better suit their size and care needs.

Use in hamsterscaping

For dwarf hamsters, Marley is spacious and sheltered. You can use one room as a sand bath and the other as a small digging or sniffing area. For Syrian hamsters/golden hamsters, it is important to check if your hamster fits comfortably through the passage and has enough room to turn around.

Placement in the enclosure

Place Marley on a flat, stable spot. In an enclosure with deep bedding, you can partially build the tray in so that it blends in naturally with the rest of the decor. However, ensure that the passageway remains accessible and that your pet can easily get in and out of the rooms.

Cleaning & maintenance

Clean the litter thoroughly with a dry or slightly damp cloth and let it dry completely before adding new filling. Do not use too much water and never return the litter to the enclosure while it is still damp.
