Bunny Nature Dwarf Hamster Dream Basic 600 grams

bunny dwarf hamster dream expert food Dwarf hamsters like to be elaborately involved with their food. That is why our balanced recipe with all its various components is so valuable for the small, sympathetic flashes. It is also very important not to include fruit to avoid diabetes. The dwarf hamster feels at home here, in the form of ingredients that occur in steppes, semi-deserts and desert biotopes, the habitat of the dwarf hamster. A balanced ratio of grains, seeds and vegetables ensures optimal nutrition with vitamins and trace elements.

The Bunny Dwarf HamsterDream BASIC contains no fruit, because dwarf hamsters often tend to be overweight. The vital animal protein is precisely tailored to the needs of your animal and is covered by mealworms, among other things. The size of the food particles has been specially developed for the significantly smaller dwarf hamster.

Bunny Nature about the Dwarf Hamster

The dwarf hamster is a small, granivorous (seed-eating) mammal belonging to the order of rodents. In nature he is a loner and he has a life expectancy of 2 to 2.5 years. With a body length of 11 cm and a weight of approx. 45 g, it is clearly smaller than the golden hamster.

The dwarf hamster is native to southern Russia, Mongolia and northern China. There it lives in arid semi-desert and steppe regions and is active from dusk to night.

The nutritional needs of fast dwarf hamsters are multiple. In nature, they mainly feed on various seeds and insects

Incisors
Dwarf hamsters have incisors that keep growing. The feed must therefore allow the necessary wear of the teeth (e.g. by seeds that can be peeled).

Stomach
The stomach consists of two 'chambers', namely the fore-stomach and the glandular stomach.

Small Appendix
As a 'granivore' (seed-eating) animal, the dwarf hamster has a small cecum. It can only process raw fibers to a limited extent. The optimum crude fiber content in the feed is therefore below 10%.

Animal protein
Animal proteins are needed for metabolism. The amount should be carefully adjusted to the needs of the animal.

High energy requirement
Dwarf hamsters are real bundles of energy. Due to their high metabolism, they have a greater energy requirement.

Susceptible to diabetes
To avoid diabetes, the food should not contain fruit or other sugar-rich components and fresh fruit should not be fed.
