Product description

Rodipet Peat Humus 25 Liters

hamsterscaping and hamsterscape for rodents such as mice, dwarf hamsters, hamsters, and gerbils Hamsterscaping
This substrate is ideal for scavenging small rodents, such as mice , dwarf hamsters , hamsters , and gerbils . It's an easy and pleasant substrate to dig , and tunnels remain intact.

Peat is specially prepared for small rodents. Peat for rodents is very natural and ideal as bedding or for a diggable environment such as a digging pit or natural landscaping (bioactive). All burrowing rodents, such as hamsters, mice, rats, etc., have a natural urge to dig.

Special peat mixture for rodents
Ideal for the digging behaviour of the animals
No added fertilizers
Ideal for Hamsterscaping & Gerbilscaping !

The peat should be slightly damp. This is certainly desirable, as it makes it easier for our rodents to dig. It also binds dust, preventing it from swirling around. Occasional spraying helps maintain moisture. However, due to the dampness, peat for small animals should not be placed on unpainted wood!

Create a green corner in the enclosure with humus and fresh plants
Humus is a great base layer for planting fresh plants directly. It's perfect for hamster scaping , gerbil scaping , and rat scaping .

Instructions for use Rodipet Peat Humus

Organic Humus as ground cover for small rodents (Mouse, Dwarf Hamster, Hamster)
Humus is also suitable as a basic substrate for small rodents. It mimics the animals' natural habitat, namely digging and creating tunnels in sandy substrates. However, ventilation in the enclosure is a challenge, as the sand is damp.

For small rodents that originally live in the desert
Allow the peat to dry thoroughly before using it for desert animals, otherwise the humidity will be too high for these animals.

Organic Humus for Fresh Rodent Plants
Humus is also very suitable as a substrate for fresh plants, as they can take root well. If you want to plant established rodent plants in the enclosure, humus is a good substrate. View all our fresh plants here!

To keep the substrate free of mold, ventilation within the enclosure must be optimal.
