• Use a wider layer for a digging box so that animals can really search and dig in it.
• Optionally, scatter herbs, food, or snacks through it for extra foraging fun.
• Regularly replace wet spots, toilet corners, and soiled areas with fresh material.
• Refresh the entire layer when it no longer stays fresh.
