For which animals is Supreme Bath Sand suitable?

Supreme Bath Sand is intended for animals that actually make use of a sand bath. For some animals, a sand bath is part of coat care, while for others, it is primarily a pleasant natural activity and a designated grooming zone in the enclosure.

How do you use Supreme Bath Sand?

Use Supreme Bath Sand in a sturdy sand bath, bath house, or enclosed sand zone. Put about 2.5 cm of sand in the container so that your animal can roll and shake properly without the container becoming too full immediately. Chinchillas enjoy using a sand bath daily. Hamsters, gerbils, and degus usually use it a few times a week or as a permanent sand zone in their enclosure.

Allow your animal to bathe for approximately 10 to 20 minutes during a temporary sand bath. For animals with a permanent sand zone in the enclosure, keep the sand clean by sifting it regularly and removing soiled sand immediately. Replace the sand completely when it has become musty, damp, or visibly soiled.

• Use a stable container with sufficient rim so that the sand stays in place better.
• Regularly sift droppings, food remnants, and bedding out of the sand.
