At DRD Knaagdierwinkel®, we recognise our responsibility to make a positive contribution and keep improving every day. Our sustainable returns policy is part of that. That’s why we do our best to keep returns as low as possible by using clear product photos and straightforward descriptions, so you can choose confidently in advance. Preventing is better than returning.

Below you’ll find exactly how long the cooling-off period is and how we handle shipping and return costs per situation.

With the withdrawal form or packing slip and neat packaging, your return can be processed quickly and smoothly.

Cooling-off period (right of withdrawal)

The cooling-off period starts the day after delivery. You have 14 days to withdraw from your purchase. Return shipping costs are always at your own expense.

Shipping costs: situations 1–3

1) You return the parcel to us

  • Return shipping costs are at your own expense.
  • Once the full order is returned to us, we will credit the returned products and also the outbound shipping costs.

2) You refuse delivery / do not collect it from a PostNL point

  • Return shipping costs are at your own expense.
  • Products that are returned will be credited.
  • Return costs will be offset against the outbound shipping costs.

3) Incorrect address provided (parcel is returned)

  • Return shipping costs are at your own expense.
  • Products that are returned will be credited.
  • Return costs will be offset against the outbound shipping costs.
  • In this case, the order must be placed again with the correct address.

Unfortunately, terrariums and live products, such as plants, cannot be returned.

What happens if your parcel can’t be delivered or is refused?

If your parcel cannot be delivered, it will be taken to a collection point. If you do not collect it there, we will unfortunately have to charge return costs. These costs are equal to the outbound shipping costs.

Tip: Download the PostNL app to stay updated on your parcel’s status. PostNL often communicates via the app, so you’ll see sooner where your parcel is and can collect it in time.

We recommend entering your address details carefully and collecting your parcel from the pickup point in time to avoid unnecessary costs.

What do I need to do to return products?

  1. Complete the withdrawal form in full OR include the packing slip with your return.
  2. Can’t open the form? Use Acrobat Reader. Free download: http://get.adobe.com/nl/reader/.
  3. Please ensure the returned products are, where reasonably possible, in the original packaging, undamaged, clean and without signs of use. Pack them as originally supplied, in undamaged packaging, including all documentation and accessories.
  4. If returned products do not meet these requirements, we may deduct a reasonable fee from the refund amount. We then need to make the product sale-ready again (check, complete and repackage).

Excluded from withdrawal

The following products cannot be returned:

  • Plants
  • Terrariums

How quickly will I receive my refund?

We aim to refund the amount to your account within 7 days.
