Guinea Pig Run with Roof Black – 152 × 72 × 38 cm

Guinea Pig Run with Roof – extra outdoor space for your guinea pigs

This black guinea pig run gives your guinea pigs an extra place to walk, sniff and explore the grass outdoors. It has metal mesh panels and a mesh cover on top. The sections connect together, and you can increase the space with a matching extension set.

The dimensions are approximately 152 × 72 × 38 cm. Use the run for temporary outdoor exercise alongside their permanent home, and make it comfortable with hiding places, hay and fresh drinking water.

Their own outdoor place to explore

A different environment offers new smells and places to investigate. For example, place a tunnel between two hiding places and leave a clear route beside it. Your guinea pigs can then move from one sheltered spot to another without the whole run becoming crowded.

The top consists of metal mesh panels. This encloses the run from above while allowing you to see your animals clearly. The mesh lets light and air through. Provide shade and a dry resting place separately, as the mesh cover is not a solid, rainproof roof.

Setting up and furnishing the run

Choose a level, dry spot where the bottom edge sits closely against the ground all the way around. Assemble the run according to the supplied instructions. Before placing your guinea pigs inside, check that the connections, door sections and roof panels are securely attached.

A comfortable setup includes:

• Several hiding places: Spread houses or tunnels around the run so your guinea pigs can retreat when they want to.
• Clear walking routes: Place larger items around the sides and keep passages open.
• Hay: Offer this during outdoor time too, in a clean, dry place.
• Fresh drinking water: Use a stable water bowl or attach a suitable drinking bottle at an accessible height.

Provide plenty of shade throughout their time outdoors. As the sun moves, a sheltered spot can end up in direct sunlight. Use the run under supervision and choose outdoor time that suits the weather and what your guinea pigs are used to.

Extending and connecting

Would you like more space for walking routes and hiding places? You can enlarge the run with matching extension set 62284, sold separately. More floor space also gives you more options for arranging the furnishings without houses and tunnels taking up all the room for movement.

The run has door sections that allow it to be placed against a compatible natura small animal hutch. Make sure the openings line up and the connection is secure, without open gaps. Compatibility depends on the design of the hutch.
