Expand for (dwarf) rabbits

This 4x2 C& ^C® cage was fundamentally developed as a full-fledged enclosure for guinea pigs. For (dwarf) rabbits, the cage without extensions is primarily suitable as an indoor play area or temporary run, not as a permanent primary enclosure. Rabbits especially need more continuous floor space to move around comfortably and to be able to lie down stretched out.

Important to know about the Coroplast tray

The included Coroplast base tray is part of the standard 4x2 basic setup. Therefore, if you expand the cage later, this tray does not automatically grow with it. You build out the extra section using panels, and you choose a suitable base or finish for that part yourself.

Coroplast is popular within the C& ^C® system because it is waterproof, lightweight, hygienic, and easy to clean. At the same time, it is not chew-proof. If you notice guinea pigs gnawing on the edges, providing sufficient gnawing material and distractions often helps.
