Feeding & use

According to Bunny Nature, GerbilDroom Expert can be offered freely. In practice, however, many owners prefer to monitor the quantity, especially with a natural mix. Fill the food bowl, let your gerbils eat the mix thoroughly, and only refill when there is hardly any food left. This gives them the chance to eat all components of the mix.

You can offer the food in two ways: partly in a bowl for a clear overview, and partly as foraging food in the enclosure. For example, scatter a small portion in a clean, dry corner, in a foraging toy, or among natural materials. This way, eating becomes an activity as well.

• Always ensure clean drinking water.
• Optionally offer hay as nesting material, scaving material, or extra natural fiber structure.

Switch to GerbilDroom Expert

• Days 3–5: feed approximately half old, half new.
