Fris Sizzle is made of paper and is ideal as a play bedding and nesting material for small rodents and rabbits. Due to the special shape of the paper strings, the whole thing rustles as soon as the animals walk through it. This gives a playful and exciting effect. In addition, Fris Sizzle is completely dust-free and therefore healthy for the lungs. It also does not stick to the bottom and is easy to use. The Sizzle can be placed as a top layer over the standard ground cover or used as nesting material. It's also fun to hide some treats in between.

Instructions for use Fris Sizzle

For small rodents as a top layer (Mouse, Dwarf Hamster, Hamster, Gerbil)
Fill the enclosure with the standard ground cover and apply a layer of Fris Sizzle of 5 to 10 cm on top. If necessary, sprinkle some treats through the layer and let the animals show their natural behavior by looking for their food (foraging).

For larger rodents as a top layer (Rat, Guinea pig, Rabbit, Chinchilla, Degu)
Fill the enclosure with the standard ground cover and apply a layer of Fris Sizzle of 10 to 20 cm on top (depending on the animal). If necessary, sprinkle some treats through the layer and let the animals show their natural behavior by looking for their food (foraging).

Fris Sizzle as Nesting Material
The Fris Sizzle is very suitable as nesting material for small rodents and rats. Rats love to drag the Sizzle to their sleeping houses high up in the enclosure. An advantage for Rats is that the Sizzle is dry and absorbs moisture very well. Some rats sometimes pee in their sleeping spot, so Sizzle can help keep it dry.

For small rodents such as mice, dwarf hamsters and gerbils, the Sizzle is nice as nesting material in their holes. Here too, it helps to keep the sleeping areas dry.

Fris Sizzle as a ground cover for rodents and rabbits
Fris Sizzle is much less suitable as a stand-alone ground cover. Although the absorption of the Fris Sizzle is very good, the loose structure is not optimal as a basic ground cover. It could possibly be possible for larger rodents with an underlayer. The underlayer collects puddles that the Fris Sizzle has not collected.
