Fresh plants – Organically grown, safe & delicious to nibble on

fresh plants for rodents and rabbits In the wild, rodents encounter all sorts of plants: to nibble on, sniff at, and simply add variety to their daily routine. That's why fresh plants are so much fun to offer at home. In this category, you'll find organically grown plants intended as food for animals. They're fun to give and look beautiful in your home. Specialists since 2011, so you can choose with confidence and with help.

Beautiful in your scape

Choosing safely: this is how you make it easy

Plants aren't automatically "always good." The great thing about this category is that you can specifically choose plants intended for animals. This way, you can provide variety without the hassle.

  • Start small and see how your animal reacts.
  • Offer variety in addition to the daily menu (the basics remain the basics).
  • Make it fun : offer a portion in a bowl and hide a small piece as a “search” activity.

Where do our fresh plants come from?

The fresh plants come straight from the grocer. Therefore, they're not always available in every season: each plant has its own sowing time and harvest period. If you see your favorite in stock, it's often wise to order it right away.

How to offer fresh plants (practical)

  • In a bowl : put down a small piece and let your animal choose and nibble for itself.
  • As enrichment : hide small pieces in a corner or under a bridge/tunnel.
  • In your interior : combine with natural materials for a beautiful, peaceful look.

Combine with houses and tunnels for additional hiding and sniffing routes.

Do you have green fingers?

Fancy some gardening with them? You can grow some of the plants in their own pots. If you don't have a green thumb, that's fine too: many animals will happily make it work in just a few days.

Maintenance & storage

  • Store plants in a light, but not too warm, area so they stay beautiful longer.
  • Refresh leftovers promptly (especially if the enclosure becomes humid).
  • Make “planting moments” extra fun with foraging products .

Checklist: fresh plants well arranged
