Product description

Mr Crumble Natural food for rats without animal protein 500 g – pellet-free forage mix

Mr. Crumble Natural Food for Rats, without animal protein, is a varied, pellet-free mix of grains, seeds, vegetables, fruit, herbs, and flowers. This is a supplementary pet food: you use it as part of the daily menu, allowing you to adjust the additions, such as a protein source (or to feed a vegetarian diet). This package contains 500 grams.

Tip for natural behavior: Scatter the food (partially) through the bedding or use a foraging toy so your rats can actually forage. This is fun for ratscaping and useful if you want to add more enrichment to the enclosure.

Nutrition in brief
  • Pellet-free natural mix for tame rats and dwarf rats .
  • No animal protein: you decide if, what and when you supplement.
  • Mr Crumble ratio 53/35/12 (grains / seeds & kernels / vegetables-fruit-herbs-flowers).
  • Suitable for foraging: (partial) scatter feeding or hiding works well.
  • Combine with fresh drinking water and a daily portion of fresh vegetables; adjust supplements based on age, activity level, and fitness level.

Plus points

Pellet-free: ideal if you prefer to feed a natural mix and control the menu yourself.
Without animal protein: useful if you consciously feed a vegetarian diet or want to supplement with tailor-made protein.
53/35/12 structure (grains / seeds & kernels / vegetables-fruit-herbs-flowers) for variation in structure.
Forage mix: suitable for scattering, hiding or adding to a food puzzle.
Also practical for dwarf rats: same type of food, smaller portions.

Why choose Mr Crumble Natural Food without animal protein?

Rats are smart, curious eaters and enjoy foraging. A mix with different textures complements this perfectly. Because this variety doesn't contain any animal protein, you can customize the menu flexibly, adapting it to their age (young/adult/senior), activity level, and your own food choices. This allows you to control the overall menu while still providing your rats with a variety of food.

Feeding & use

Feed daily as part of the diet. The amount depends on weight, activity, and other ingredients (e.g., fresh vegetables and treats). Practical: feed some in a bowl and sprinkle some in the enclosure for extra enrichment. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Seal tightly after opening.

FAQ

Is this a complete food (staple food)?
This is a supplementary feed. Use it as part of the daily menu and tailor the rest (such as vegetables and a possible protein source) to your rats' needs.

Is Mr Crumble Natural Food without animal protein also suitable for dwarf rats?
Yes. Dwarf rats eat essentially the same type of food as pet rats. Feed smaller portions and pay particular attention to body condition and activity.

Why is there no animal protein in it?
So you can choose whether you want to feed a vegetarian menu or add tailor-made protein (for example, depending on age and condition).
