Product description

Bunny Nature RattenDroom Expert 500 g – natural rat mix with insects (without pellets)

Bunny Nature RattenDroom Expert is a complete staple food for pet rats and dwarf rats . It's a natural mix without pellets or extrudates, containing oat kernels (5.2%), pumpkin seeds (3%), and animal proteins from mealworms (0.5%) and buffalo worms (0.4%). This package contains 500 grams.

Want to make the daily menu more fun? Give some of it in the food bowl and hide/scatter some in the enclosure (e.g., in a sniffing area). This is a great fit for ratscaping and encourages natural foraging behavior.

Nutrition in brief
  • Staple food for rats and dwarf rats (mix without pellets/extrudates).
  • With animal proteins: mealworms (0.5%) and buffalo worms (0.4%).
  • With oat kernels (5.2%) and pumpkin seeds (3%).
  • Structural mix: useful to give (partly) as scatter feed.
  • Combine with fresh drinking water, fresh vegetables daily and sufficient gnawing/foraging opportunities.

Plus points

Without pellets and without extrudates: a real mixed structure in the feeding trough.
With insects as protein source (mealworms & buffalo worms).
With pumpkin seeds (3%) and oat seeds (5.2%) for extra variety.
Ideal for foraging: (partially) hide or scatter in the enclosure.

Why choose RattenDroom Expert?

Rats naturally eat a varied diet and enjoy searching, selecting, and nibbling. RattenDroom Expert perfectly complements this with various shapes and textures (flakes, grains, seeds, vegetables/fruit) and a distinct protein component from insects. Practical if you want to provide a rich, natural-looking diet and keep your rats occupied in their enclosure.

Feeding & use

Feed daily, adjusting the amount based on size, age, activity level, and other ingredients (fresh vegetables/snacks). A good starting point: give a measured portion and refill when the feeding station is empty, so you can clearly see what's actually being eaten.

Storage: cool and dry, close well after opening.

DRD CALCULATION CARD – How long will this bag last?
Quick indication based on 500 g and an example consumption of 15–25 g/day per rat (depending on menu & size).
