Trixie Corn & Carrot Straw Toys is a set of two lightweight straw toys in the shape of cheerful corn and carrots. The toys are fun to explore, move around, nibble on, and pick apart. This makes them a nice change of pace in the enclosure or during supervised playtime.
This toy is particularly suitable for animals gerbil-sized and up, such as gerbils, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, and degus. One animal species will primarily destroy and nibble on the toy, while another will push, pick up, or move it. In this way, the same toy plays a unique role in daily enrichment for each animal.
✔ Set of 2 cheerful straw toys
✔ Lightweight material, easy to move or pick up
✔ Fun as demolition, chewing, and play material
✔ Provides variety during the stay
✔ Combines nicely with play & foraging , gnawing material , and destroying toys
Straw toys give animals something to keep them occupied. They are lightweight, have texture, and invite exploration. Some animals carry them around, while others pull on them or slowly nibble them apart. This makes them especially fun as an alternative to hiding places, tunnels, foraging toys, and gnawing material.
For gerbils, chinchillas, and degus, this toy is particularly interesting as material for destruction and gnawing. These animals can gnaw actively and often enjoy taking natural materials apart.
For larger animals such as guinea pigs, rabbits, and rats, the toys can actually be more of an object to push, pick up, or toss back and forth. In this way, snack and play material becomes not just something to nibble on, but also something to be actively engaged with.
You can also offer the toys temporarily and put them back in a different spot later. By rotating the toys, it remains more interesting and you prevent the enclosure from feeling the same all the time.
This toy is intended as enrichment and chewing material, not as the main food. Offer it alongside an appropriate basic diet, hay where important for the species, clean drinking water, and a well-furnished enclosure.
Not every animal plays in the same way. That is perfectly normal. A guinea pig might mainly investigate the toy or nibble on it occasionally, while a gerbil might take it apart much faster. A rat might carry it away or move it, and a rabbit might push or lift the toy.
Therefore, view it as natural activity. The toy does not have to remain “intact” to be fun. Destroying, pulling, and nibbling can actually be part of enrichment. Do check regularly, however, to ensure that no dirty, wet, or loose pieces remain that are better removed.

Because this toy is made of straw, it is not intended to be cleaned with a wet cloth. If the toy becomes dirty or damp, it is better to replace it.
This toy is suitable for gerbils, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, and degus. Usage varies by animal species: nibbling, destroying, moving, or exploring.
Yes, gerbils can use this toy as material for destruction and gnawing. Because gerbils actively gnaw, regular checking is important.
Yes, rats can investigate, drag, or nibble on the toy. Use it as variety alongside other rat toys, tunnels, hammocks, and foraging material.
Yes, guinea pigs can investigate, push, and nibble on the toy. Combine it with hay, hiding places, and tunnels for more variety.
Yes, rabbits can use this toy as a small play and nibble object. It is a nice change of pace alongside hay, digging opportunities, and other rabbit toys.
Yes, chinchillas and degus can use it as light gnawing and exploration material. Make sure it stays dry and check regularly for wear.
Yes, destroying and nibbling are part of using this type of toy. However, be sure to remove loose, wet, or dirty residue in time and replace the toy when it is heavily worn.
No, this is a toy and chewable material. It is intended as enrichment and variety, not as a substitute for appropriate nutrition.
This toy is not intended to be cleaned with water. Use it in a dry place and replace it when it is dirty, wet, or damaged.
Combine Trixie Corn & Carrot Straw Toys with other gnawing materials, tunnels, hiding places, and foraging toys. This gives your pet more variety and something fun to explore, move, and nibble on.

Lijkt me goed knaagmateriaal.
