The Trixie Willow Bridge 22 cm is a flexible bridge made of natural, untreated willow wood. You can use this bridge in various ways in the enclosure of mice, dwarf hamsters, and gerbils: as a small bridge, tunnel, hiding place, step, or natural divider between different zones.
Precisely because the willow bridge is flexible, you can easily adapt it to your layout. Turn it into an arch, place it as a partition between two types of bedding, or use it as a small canopy. This way, you give the enclosure more structure, shelter, and variety without making it complicated.
✔ Natural willow wood: beautiful natural appearance and suitable for gnawing.
✔ Flexible model: easy to shape as a bridge, tunnel, arch, or partition.
✔ Versatile use: handy as a hiding place, step, bedding edge, or landscaping element.
✔ Great for hamsterscaping: pairs nicely with natural bedding, moss, cork, and wooden houses.
✔ Extra gnawing material: willow is a popular type of wood for small rodents that like to nibble.
A willow bridge consists of multiple willow sticks connected by flexible iron wire. This allows you to arrange the bridge in various shapes. This makes the product very practical for natural-style landscaping, as you decide how the bridge fits into the enclosure.
For example, you can use the willow bridge as an arched tunnel, a small house, a bridge over a low zone, or as a border to keep bedding in place. This way, a single product is usable in multiple ways, and you can easily adjust the layout when rearranging the enclosure.
Small rodents love shelter, routes, and variety. An open enclosure without hiding places often feels bare and illogical. With a willow bridge, you can easily create an extra passageway, a shady spot, or a hiding corner. This gives your animal more choice in how it moves through the enclosure.
For dwarf hamsters and mice, the bridge can also be used as a spacious hiding place. For gerbils, the bridge is particularly fun as a tunnel, divider, or natural gnawing element. Because gerbils love to dig and build, you can also partially embed the bridge in the bedding to create a natural route through the scape.
The willow bridge is also handy for owners who enjoy working with hamsterscaping , gerbilscaping , or a natural interior. The color and texture of willow combine beautifully with bedding, moss, cork, sand zones, and wooden accessories.
Do you want to use the bridge as an edge to hold back ground cover? That works very well, especially when working with different zones. However, first check that the willow sticks are close enough together. If gaps appear, finish them with, for example, moss, ground cover, or other soft landscaping material so that little paws cannot get in between.
As a house or tunnel: bend the bridge into an arch and place it firmly on the bedding. This creates a sheltered spot for mice and dwarf hamsters where they can walk underneath or take cover for a moment.
As a bridge or stepping stone: place the bridge low and stable between two zones. Do not use it as a high climbing bridge, but primarily as a low transition piece in the layout.
As a divider: place the bridge upright or slightly curved to separate different ground covers, sand zones, or landscaping sections. Always check that no open gaps form between the willow sticks where a paw could get stuck. Close such openings first with, for example, moss, ground cover, or other soft landscaping material before using the bridge as a divider. This works particularly well in natural enclosures where you are working with multiple zones.
Dimensions: approximately 22 x 10 cm.
Due to its size, the willow bridge is particularly suitable for small rodents. Please measure beforehand to see if the bridge fits the spot where you want to use it, especially if you intend to use it as a tunnel or hiding place.

Zeer tevreden, goede kwaliteit
