Fresh apple is tasty, but not always practical when you only want to offer small amounts. These air-dried apple cubes are easy to store, quick to take and simple to offer in small portions. That makes them convenient for owners who like to give something fruity without having to cut fresh apple every time.
De Knaagdier Kruidenier® focuses on natural treats and herbs that suit mindful feeding and enrichment. These apple cubes fit nicely into that approach: simple in composition, appealing in scent and useful for making treat moments more varied.
Offer Apple Cubes as a supplementary treat alongside the daily diet. Start with a small amount, especially if your pet is not yet used to fruit. For small animals, you can break a cube into smaller pieces if needed.
You can offer the cubes by hand, mix them through a herb blend or use them in a foraging toy. They also work well between hay or herbs: your pet has to sniff and search before finding the treat.
Composition: air-dried apple.
The composition is simple and natural. Apple naturally contains fruit sugars, so this treat is best used as a small reward moment rather than a daily main part of the diet. By portioning it mindfully, it remains a lovely and tasty variation.
These Apple Cubes contain no added sugar. Because apple is naturally fruity and sweet, we recommend offering them as a treat and not feeding them too generously. For chinchillas and degus, we prefer plain herbs, leaves, flowers or fibre-rich treats that better suit their daily feeding routine.
Store the cubes in a cool, dry place and keep them well sealed. This protects them from moisture and keeps them pleasant to use.

Yes, but offer them very sparingly. A small piece is often enough, especially because apple naturally contains fruit sugars.
Yes, rabbits can have Apple Cubes as a small reward. Offer them in limited amounts, because hay remains the most important basis of the diet.
Yes, guinea pigs can have a small Apple Cube as an extra. Use it as a treat alongside hay, guinea pig food and suitable fresh vegetables.
For chinchillas and degus, we prefer plain herbs, leaves, flowers or fibre-rich treats. These better suit their daily feeding routine.
Yes, absolutely. Hide a few cubes between hay, herbs, bedding or in a snack board so your pet can actively search.
