Instructions for use Chipsi Wood Granulate

This substrate is excellent as a true ground cover. While tunnels may not be as effective, the substrate itself provides excellent coverage. This is especially helpful for small rodents that like to dig and urinate on the floor of their enclosure.

For small rodents (Mouse, Dwarf Hamster, Hamster, Gerbil)
Apply a thick layer of at least 20 cm of litter to the enclosure and let the animals do the rest. They'll dig to their heart's content and create the most beautiful tunnels! A hamster's litter can last up to three months.

For larger rodents (Rat, Guinea Pig, Rabbit, Degu)
Spread a layer of litter approximately 10 cm thick in the enclosure and compact it lightly until a layer of at least 5 cm remains. Depending on the rodent, replace it as soon as it starts to smell. Remove only the soiled area from the cage each week and leave the rest. Refill the cage as needed afterward.
