Product description

Supreme VetCare+ Urinary Health Rabbit Food for rabbits

Supreme VetCare+ Urinary Health Rabbit Food is a complete, carefully formulated food for rabbits from 20 weeks of age. This food has been developed for rabbits prone to urinary tract problems that can benefit from a daily diet with a low calcium content.

Rabbits have a unique calcium metabolism. While many animals regulate calcium intake more strongly via the intestines, rabbits absorb calcium in proportion to what is present in the diet. Any excess calcium is subsequently excreted via the urine. In sensitive rabbits, this can contribute to calcium-rich urine or deposits in the urinary tract. Supreme VetCare+ Urinary Health is therefore formulated with 0.5% calcium and a fiber-rich base of ground Timothy hay.

Nutrition in brief

  • Complete food for rabbits from 20 weeks
  • With a low calcium content of 0.5%
  • Based on ground Timothy hay
  • With 28% crude fiber to support a high-fiber diet
  • With flaxseed, echinacea, dandelion, nettle, cranberry, and blueberry, among others.
  • Suitable as long-term nutrition for rabbits prone to urinary tract problems.

Why choose Supreme VetCare+ Urinary Health?

Supreme VetCare+ Urinary Health is intended for rabbits whose diet must be carefully selected. This can be important, for example, when your veterinarian has indicated that your rabbit is prone to urinary tract issues, or when you are deliberately looking for a food with a lower calcium content.

The basis of this food consists of ground Timothy hay. Timothy is known as a fiber-rich grass species that fits well into the daily diet of rabbits. The 28% crude fiber helps keep the ration high in fiber. This is important, because rabbits need fiber throughout the day from good food and, naturally, especially from readily available hay.

The uniform pellet structure helps prevent your rabbit from picking only the tastiest parts of the food. This ensures your rabbit receives a consistent composition per portion. This is convenient for owners who like to keep track of what their rabbit eats, especially when nutrition is a deliberate part of daily care.

For which animals is this food suitable?

Supreme VetCare+ Urinary Health Rabbit Food is suitable for rabbits of all breeds from 20 weeks of age. This food is not intended for young rabbits under 20 weeks of age, nor for other rodents such as guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters, gerbils, mice, rats, or degus.

Use this food as a daily complete diet according to the feeding guidelines on the packaging. In addition, always provide plenty of clean, easily accessible hay, such as Timothy hay or a suitable hay variety from our hay section . For rabbits prone to urinary tract problems, adequate fluid intake is also important. Therefore, ensure there are easily accessible drinking options and always consult a veterinarian if in doubt.

Feeding & use

  • Suitable for rabbits from 20 weeks.
  • Give the daily amount tailored to age, weight, condition, and activity.
  • Preferably switch over gradually by mixing the new food with the current food for several days.
  • Combine with unlimited hay as the basis of the ration.
  • Do not use this food as a substitute for veterinary advice if your rabbit has symptoms.
