The Savic Royale Suite comes standard with platforms, but for animals that enjoy climbing, creating routes, and actively using their enclosure, a platform can wear out over time. Plastic platforms can also be damaged by gnawing, cleaning, or intensive use. This separate replacement platform is therefore a practical solution to make the cage neat, safe, and complete again.

• Savic Royale Suite XL: suitable when you choose the variant “for Royale Suite XL”. The XL variant is approx. 64 × 32.5 cm.

Please ensure you select the correct variant from the selection menu. The Royale Suite and the Royale Suite XL do not have the same size platform. This item is intended as a suitable spare part for these Savic cages and is not a universal platform for other cage models.

When do you replace a platter?

Replacing a shelf is useful when the plastic is damaged, heavily chewed, deformed, or difficult to keep clean. Also, if you have purchased a second-hand Royale Suite and the shelves are no longer in good condition, a separate shelf can be a practical refresh.

For animals that enjoy climbing and using routes, platforms are important walking and resting points. A well-fitting platform helps to organize the cage clearly, with distinct zones for sleeping, eating, playing, and moving.

Usage & placement

Place the platform in the designated spot in the Savic Royale Suite or Royale Suite XL. After placement, check that the platform is securely fastened and stable before allowing the animals access to the cage again.

Do you use multiple platforms in the cage? Then take a look at the overall layout right away. For climbing animals like rats and dwarf rats, you want to create logical routes so they can easily move from one level to another. For larger animals like chinchillas and degus, stability is especially important because they can exert a lot of force while jumping and moving.

Regularly check plastic parts for gnawing damage and wear. Some animals leave plastic completely alone, while others gnaw on it. Replace the platform when it is no longer neat or safe to use.
