Is the Timothy Harvest suitable for Hamsterscaping?

Of course! It is very nice to use for Hamster Scaping , not only as a natural decoration, but also as a healthy and natural snack and feed enrichment for the animals.

Do all Rodents and Rabbits like the Timothy Harvest?

The Timothy Harvest falls under the harvest of herbs , which is different from harvesting with seeds or harvesting with leaves . The herb harvest is best suited as food for the herbivorous (plant-eating) rodents (guinea pig, chinchilla, degu) and rabbit. These animals also eat a lot of herbs in the wild.

The granivorous (seed-eating) rodents, such as mouse, dwarf hamster, hamster, gerbil and rat eat the herbs less quickly, but certainly like it! These animals eat herbs as needed.

How should I offer the Timothy Harvest?

There are many ways to offer the Timothy Harvest, also depending on the objective. You can easily place the Timothy Harvest on the bedding, but if you want your animal to make an effort, you can place the Timothy upright in the bedding, with a layer of at least 20 cm that is fine.

It is also possible to attach it to the bars of the enclosure with a snack clamp .
It is also possible to attach the Timothy to glass by means of a suction cup clamp .

Does Timothy Harvest challenge rodents?

Yes for sure! Timothy Harvest creates a lot of challenge because the animals have to harvest the herbs themselves from the plant. After all, the herb is not offered separately, but must really be picked from the plant and that gives extra enrichment, which we also call feed enrichment.

How is the Timothy Harvest stored with us?

It is nice to know that we receive this harvest directly from the manufacturer and can therefore offer very good freshness. In our warehouse, the harvest is stored cool, dry and UV-free. The latter is important to prevent the degradation of nutrients by UV light. We therefore recommend always storing the harvest in a dark, cool and dry place.
