Product description

JR Farm Chamomile Harvest for rodents and rabbits

Would you like to give your animal a natural harvest snack with the gentle scent of chamomile? JR Farm Chamomile Harvest is a varied harvest containing wheat, chamomile, and millet. The herbs and plant parts are not offered loose as crumbs, but are still in their natural form. This allows your animal to pick, sniff, nibble, and forage on its own.

This harvest treat is especially fun for animals that enjoy searching and taking things out of the enclosure themselves. You can lay a piece down loosely, place it upright in a deep layer of bedding, or attach it with a treat clip. At DRD, when it comes to harvest treats, we focus primarily on what your animal can do with them: smelling, choosing, plucking, and exploring at their own pace. Chamomile Harvest offers a nice combination of scent, texture, and natural activity.

  • Beautiful for hamsterscaping, gerbilscaping, and natural decor.
  • Complementary feed for rodents and rabbits
  • Contents: 80 grams

Why choose JR Farm Chamomile Harvest?

JR Farm Chamomile Harvest is not a standard loose snack from a bowl. Your animal has to pick pieces of the plant parts themselves, sniff them, and choose what is interesting. This makes snack time more active and natural. Animals that enjoy foraging, gathering, or exploring their enclosure can be particularly occupied with this.

Natural harvest with chamomile, wheat, and millet
Provides scent, texture, and variety in the enclosure
Encourages picking, searching, and self-harvesting
Nice as an enrichment in a natural interior
Can be laid loosely or placed upright in bedding
Nice as a change alongside herbs, flowers, leaves, and other harvest snacks

What does your animal get out of this chamomile harvest?

Many rodents and rabbits enjoy it when food and snacks are not just lying in a bowl, but also provide something to do. With Kamille Oogst, your animal can sniff, pluck, and pull off small pieces on its own. This immediately turns snack time into a bit of activity.

For hamsters, dwarf hamsters, mice, and gerbils, you can place small pieces in the enclosure as a natural foraging snack. For guinea pigs and rabbits, the harvested material can be offered as a fragrant herbal variety alongside hay and appropriate food. For chinchillas and degus, we prefer to use these types of harvested snacks in a very targeted and small format, as variety alongside the daily base of hay, herbs, leaves, and branches.

For which animals is JR Farm Chamomile Harvest suitable?

JR Farm Chamomile Harvest is suitable as a supplementary snack and enrichment for rodents and rabbits. Give small portions and adjust the amount according to the size, species, and needs of your animal.

  • Mouse: suitable as a small harvesting snack; mice can sniff at it, pluck at it, and take pieces away.
  • Dwarf hamster: nice as a foraging snack in a hamsterscaping enclosure; give small pieces and let your dwarf hamster search for it themselves.
  • Hamster: suitable as a natural harvesting snack, especially for hamsters that like to collect, hoard, and explore.
  • Gerbil: fits nicely with gerbilscaping; gerbils can gnaw on it, pull at it, and examine the plant parts.
  • Dwarf rat: suitable as a foraging snack to investigate, hold, and nibble on.
  • Rat: fun as a snack enrichment to discover together, pry loose, and take along.
  • Guinea pig: suitable as a small herbal variation alongside hay, guinea pig food, and other herbal varieties.
  • Rabbit: suitable as a natural snack alongside hay, appropriate rabbit food, and enrichment.
  • Chinchilla: give sparingly and selectively as variety; hay, herbs, leaves, and branches remain the most important basis.
  • Degu: consciously give small portions as variety alongside a simple base of hay, herbs, leaves, and branches.

How do you offer JR Farm Chamomile Harvest?

You can use the Chamomile Harvest in various ways. The simplest way is to place a small piece loosely in the enclosure. If you want to make it more natural or challenging, you can place the stems upright in a deep layer of bedding. This way, your animal really has to search and pluck.

  • Place a small piece loose in the enclosure as a foraging snack;
  • place stems upright in a deep layer of soil cover;
  • attach a piece to bars or fixtures with a snack clip;
  • For glass, if necessary, use a suitable suction cup or snack clamp;
  • cut larger pieces smaller for small animals;
  • Scatter loose pieces through a foraging tray or herb corner;
  • Remove leftovers when they become dirty or damp.

Because this harvest contains wheat and millet, use it as a treat alongside the daily basic diet. By giving small pieces, it remains easy to portion and you can create fun foraging moments more often.

Compound

Wheat, chamomile 25%, millet.

Analysis

Crude protein 11.2%, crude fat 3.2%, crude fiber 17.6%, crude ash 5.9%, calcium 2990 mg/kg, phosphorus 3260 mg/kg, sodium 900 mg/kg.

This composition is perfect for a natural harvest snack with scent and texture. The chamomile gives the harvest its recognizable spicy aroma, while wheat and millet provide extra picking and foraging work. The added value, therefore, lies not only in the food, but especially in the act of picking, searching, and being active yourself.

Good to know

JR Farm Chamomile Harvest is a natural product. As a result, the color, length, shape, and proportion of flower, leaf, stem, and ears may vary from package to package. Sometimes there is more stem or grass-like plant material than you might expect from the photo. This is typical of natural harvested products. Broken pieces can simply be used in a foraging container, herb corner, or mixed in with the bedding.

Save

Mooie oogst, jammer dat er geen kamille bijzit, mijn hamster eet alleen wel niet van het kanariezaad! Maar het is wel mooie verijking

Alles was bruin!
