Little One Green Valley Grain-Free Sticks are large snack sticks for rodents and rabbits. The sticks have a fully edible core of meadow grasses and are available in three varieties: Fruit, Vegetables, and Herbs & Flowers. This allows you to choose the flavor profile that best suits your animal and the type of snacking moment you wish to offer.
At DRD, when it comes to snack sticks, we focus primarily on nutritional value, usage, suitability for the animal, and how long an animal can be occupied with them. These Green Valley Sticks are larger than many standard chew sticks and encourage nibbling, tugging, exploring, and quiet snacking. You can offer the stick separately, place it in the enclosure, or use it as an extra foraging opportunity.
✔ Grain-free snack stick with edible center
✔ Large stick for longer nibbling and snacking fun
✔ Available in three distinct flavor lines
✔ Great as enrichment alongside hay, feed, and natural snacks
✔ Great choice for owners who want a snack that will really keep their pet occupied for a while
These snack sticks are interesting because they are more than just a small treat. Thanks to the generous stick shape, your pet really has to nibble and work to get pieces loose. As a result, the snacking time lasts longer and becomes more of an activity than a quick bite.
The meadow grass core makes the stick completely edible. This is convenient, because your animal can not only nibble off the outer layer but also continue gnawing on the stick itself. This way, the item remains interesting in the enclosure for longer.
The three variants each have their own role. The Fruit variant is the most treat-oriented choice, the Vegetable variant feels a bit greener and more everyday, and the Herbs & Flowers variant suits owners nicely who enjoy herbal variety and natural floral accents.
| Variant | Flavor profile | Fits especially well with |
|---|---|---|
| Fruit | Fruity stick with rosehip, apple, banana, raisins, orange, and cranberry, among others. | A real treat variant for animals allowed to have fruity snacks. |
| Vegetables | Vegetable mix with, among others, carrot, courgette, celery, tomato, white cabbage and spinach | A green snack direction that pairs well with rabbits, guinea pigs, and other herbivores. |
| Herbs & Flowers | Spicy stick with celery, oregano, thyme, basil, chamomile, marigold, and rose petals, among others. | A natural herbal and floral variant for gentle variation alongside hay and herbs. |
For degus and chinchillas, preferably choose the Vegetable or Herbs & Flowers variant. The Fruit variant has a fruitier composition and is better suited as a conscious treat for animals that are allowed fruity snacks.
Offer the Green Valley Stick as a supplementary snack alongside the daily basic food. You can place the stick loosely in the enclosure or offer it at a designated snack spot. Due to its large size, it is advisable to monitor how much your animal eats and remove the stick after a while if necessary.
For small animals such as mice, dwarf hamsters, hamsters, and gerbils, one stick is a lot of snack at once. You can therefore offer the stick temporarily as an activity and then save it for the next snack time, as long as it remains dry and clean.
For group animals such as rats, guinea pigs, and rabbits, the stick can provide a shared snacking moment. However, ensure that all animals can eat peacefully and that no single animal claims the entire stick.
