Product description

Little One Dandelion Root 35 grams – natural root piece for nibbling and foraging

Little One Dandelion Root is a naturally dried root piece for rodents and rabbits. The firm texture makes dandelion root interesting to sniff, grasp, move, and nibble on gently. As a result, this snack is a great fit for owners looking for a natural variation alongside hay, herbs, leaves, flowers, and suitable food.

At DRD, when it comes to herb roots, we focus primarily on texture, use, and suitability for the animal. Dandelion root is not a soft snack that is gone immediately, but rather a small, natural nibbling moment. You can offer the root loose, place it among hay, or hide it in a foraging corner so that your animal really has to search for it.

Pros of Little One Dandelion Root

Naturally dried dandelion root
Firm texture for slow nibbling
Great as a small herb root snack or foraging moment
Suitable for rodents, guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, and degus
Great choice for owners who want to offer natural snack variety

Why choose Dandelion root?

Dandelion root offers a different texture than dried leaves, flowers, or fine herbs. The pieces are firmer, making them fun to nibble on slowly. Many animals find it interesting to smell it first, move the piece, or take it to a quiet spot.

For small rodents, you can use dandelion root as a foraging snack. Place a piece among bedding, hay, herbs, or natural materials so that your animal has to search for it. For guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, and degus, dandelion root pairs nicely with hay, herbs, leaves, and other quiet plant-based snack varieties.

Because dandelion root is a natural root, the shape, color, and size of each piece can vary. This is precisely what makes it pleasant as a natural variation in the enclosure.

For which animals is Little One Dandelion Root suitable?

  • Mouse: suitable as a small, natural snack and nibble moment. Hide a piece in a sniffing corner or in bedding.
  • Dwarf hamster: suitable as a small carrot variation in a hamsterscaping enclosure. Use a matching piece and offer it deliberately.
  • Hamster: suitable as a natural snack to explore, move around, and nibble on.
  • Gerbil: suitable as a sturdy snack variation. Gerbils can examine the piece, carry it away, and work on it calmly.
  • Dwarf rat: suitable for foraging and snacking. Because dwarf rats can vary among themselves, consider size, usage, and group composition.
  • Rat: suitable as a natural snack in a snuffle mat, digging box, or Ratscaping zone. Rats can search for the pieces, pick them up, and carry them away.
  • Guinea pig: suitable as a small herb root snack alongside hay, guinea pig food, and appropriate fresh vegetables.
  • Rabbit: suitable as a natural snack alongside hay, rabbit food, vegetables, and herbs. Offer a piece in the hay corner or as a small nibble.
  • Chinchilla: suitable as a gentle plant-based snack variation alongside hay, herbs, leaves, and appropriate chinchilla food. Give consciously and in moderation.
  • Degu: suitable as a calm plant-based snack variation alongside hay, herbs, leaves, and appropriate degu food. Feed mindfully and in moderation.

Use & offer

Offer Little One Dandelion Root as an additional snack. For small animals, one small piece is often sufficient. For larger animals, you can offer a piece separately or incorporate it into the hay corner, herb corner, or foraging area.

Do you want to make snack time more active? Then hide the carrot among hay, herbs, flowers, leaves, or bedding. This way, your animal has to search, and snack time immediately becomes a small enrichment moment.

Check the pieces during use and remove residue when they are wet, dirty, or no longer clean.

Use in landscaping

In hamsterscaping, gerbilscaping, and ratscaping, you can make great use of dandelion root as a natural search and snack detail. Place a piece, for example, along a cork tunnel, in a herb corner, among moss, or in a sniffing zone.

For dwarf hamsters, hamsters, and gerbils, you can partially hide the root in the bedding. For dwarf rats and rats, dandelion root is fun in a snuffle mat, digging box, or cardboard foraging box.

Vele malen beter dan die van JRfarm. Mooie stukjes wortel in plaats van allemaal kleine mini takjes. Ben sowieso geen dan van JRfarm meer vanwege hun motten probleem. Dit zijn hele mooie!
