Looking for a solid, reliable foundation for adult guinea pigs that feels natural and is practical for daily feeding? CaviaDroom BASIC is a complete guinea pig food with a broad plant base (63 plants and herbs from permanent grassland) and a fiber-rich structure that suits their nibbling and eating habits.
Vitamin C is a key concern for guinea pigs: they cannot produce it themselves. Therefore, this food contains stabilized vitamin C as a solid base, in addition to the daily vegetable diet. Hay remains the most important part of the diet and should be available in unlimited quantities.
Guinea pigs like to eat throughout the day and benefit from a structured diet and fiber as a starting point. The broad plant base (permanent grassland) and the fiber structure complement this well. Therefore, BASIC is a great choice if you're looking for a stable base that you can easily combine with hay and a daily vegetable meal.
Want more variety in aromas and flavors within the same "menu foundation"? Then you can alternate with other CaviaDroom varieties, while keeping your routine the same.
Bunny Nature operates on a free-feeding philosophy: fill the food bowl and only refill it when it's empty. Many owners also find it helpful to have a guideline for weighing, for example, to monitor appetite and condition. For adult guinea pigs, you can often start with about 25–40 grams per day per guinea pig, depending on size, activity, and how much hay and vegetables they eat.
