Product description

Bunny Nature CaviaDroom Flowers: complete guinea pig food with flowers, peppermint & stabilized vitamin C

Looking for a complete, fiber-rich base for adult guinea pigs with just that little bit extra aroma and flavor? CaviaDroom Flowers combines a broad plant base (63 plants and herbs from permanent grassland) with aromatic additions like rose petals, marigold, and peppermint. This makes it a great daily food for owners who enjoy variety without complicating their diet.

Guinea pigs cannot produce their own vitamin C. Therefore, this food contains stabilized vitamin C as a solid base, in addition to the daily vegetable diet. Hay remains the most important part of the diet and should be available in unlimited quantities.

Nutrition in brief
Unlimited hay is the foundation. Additionally, provide fresh vegetables daily (preferably ones rich in vitamin C) and fresh drinking water. Complete pellets are a helpful addition: offering them freely is possible, and weighing them provides additional insight. Snacks are a bonus and are best used as a small reward.

Plus points

  • Complete food for adult guinea pigs
  • 63 plants & herbs from permanent grassland for natural variation
  • With flowers and herbs: rose petals (1%), marigold (0.5%) and peppermint (0.6%)
  • Stabilized vitamin C as a solid basis in the daily menu
  • Fiber-rich structure, good for nibbling behavior and intestinal function

Why is Bloemen so popular with many guinea pigs?

Guinea pigs are real nibblers: they like to eat throughout the day and value structure. The broad plant base (permanent grassland) and the fiber structure complement this perfectly. The addition of flowers and peppermint provides an extra scent, which many guinea pigs find appealing, without having to immediately mix all sorts of separate ingredients.

Feel free to use Flowers as a daily basis and alternate with other CaviaDroom varieties for variation in scent and taste, while your routine remains the same: unlimited hay and vegetables daily.

Feeding & use

Bunny Nature operates with a "free-feed" philosophy: fill the food bowl and only refill it when it's empty. Many owners also choose to weigh it as a practical guideline, for example, to monitor appetite and condition. For adult guinea pigs, you can often start with about 25–40 grams per day per guinea pig, depending on size, activity, and how much hay and vegetables are eaten.

Practical feeding table (weighing as a guideline)
Weight (indication) Daily portion of CaviaDroom
± 700–900 g ± 20–30 g
± 900–1200 g ± 25–40 g
from ± 1200 g ± 30–45 g
This is a guideline. Adjust based on condition, activity, and hay intake. Unlimited hay and daily vegetables remain the guiding principles.
  • Always unlimited good quality hay
  • Fresh drinking water daily
  • Daily vegetables (preferably with vitamin C-rich varieties)
  • Divide a weighed portion preferably over 2 moments per day
  • When changing food: switch gradually

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this suitable as a daily staple food?

Yes, this is a complete food for adult guinea pigs. Always combine it with unlimited hay, fresh water, and daily vegetables. Use the guideline as a starting point and adjust it to your guinea pig's needs.

Can I offer this freely?

Yes, you can. Many owners also find weighing helpful for additional insight into appetite and condition. Choose the method that best suits your routine and your guinea pigs.

What is the benefit of flowers and peppermint?

Flowers and herbs provide additional scent and variety within a regular diet. This is helpful for guinea pigs that like to "sniff and pick," while still providing a complete daily diet.

Is this also for young guinea pigs?

For young guinea pigs (in their growth phase), a junior variety is often more suitable. After the junior period, you can gradually switch to an adult variety such as CaviaDroom Bloemen.
