Onze hamster vindt dit super om helemaal uit elkaar te pluizen . Alleen heeft ze het nog niet door om mee naar haar nestje te nemen. Wel een leuk tijdverdrijf! We hebben de noot trouwens wel zelf moeten openmaken want deze is enorm hard.

Ook onze gerbils kunnen de kapok pullen absoluut waarderen! Ze knagen de pul zelf open en nemen de inhoud mee naar hun slaapplek. De zaadjes smikkelen ze heerlijk op. Dit is een blijvertje.

3 in 1 voor een hele goede prijs! Eetbare zaden, zacht nestmateriaal van hoge kwaliteit en tijdverdrijf voor je dier! Ik heb onze dwerghamster een halve kapok gegeven en ze vond meteen het eerste zaadje. Na dit zaadje rustig opengemaakt en opgegeten te hebben, viel het blijkbaar goed in de smaak, want ze ging meteen druk aan de slag om alle zaadjes te zoeken. Later kwam ze terug om haar wangen vol te proppen met de kapokvezels en ook 's nachts (op onze huisdierencamera) zagen we dat ze nog een keer haar wangen kwam vullen met de vezels om mee te nemen naar haar slaapplek. Eerder heeft onze hamster wel eens geprobeerd om dekentjes of handdoeken uit elkaar te trekken om mee te nemen (niet de bedoeling natuurlijk), dus ik dacht dat ze de kapok wel leuk zou vinden om vezels los te trekken en dat bleek te kloppen! Bij de gebruiksaanwijzing op deze website staat dat je de kapok zelf open moet maken en eventueel kan halveren voor je de kapok aan je dier geeft. Het zou fijn zijn als daar ook bij komt te staan hoe je de kapok het beste open krijgt. De schil is hard en glad, dus als je met iets scherps erin gaat prikken of snijden, kan je gemakkelijk uitschieten. Het lukte me ook niet om de kapok in de lengte open te snijden met een kartelmes. Een walnootkraker deukte de kapok wel in, maar brak deze niet open. Uiteindelijk sloeg ik er een klein gat in met de punt van een schaar. Vanaf dit gat knipte ik de schil in de lengte wat verder open en toen mijn vingers ertussen pasten, kon ik de kapok in tweeën (open)scheuren. Bij een volgende kapok wil ik proberen om alleen een gat erin te maken, zodat onze dwerghamster misschien zelf de kapok verder kan openmaken en uithollen.

Mijn dwerghamster vindt hem geweldig! Plukt er elke dag wat van de pluizige vulling uit en heeft er veel plezier van. Ik moet hem wel zelf openbreken, want hij had zelf niet de intentie om de kapoknoot open te knagen.

Super super super spul voor je hamster als nestje! Je hamster neemt echt alles mee, warm en ongeloof zacht! Ook echt goedkoop. Er zitten ook zwarte dingen in die heel goed zijn voor de vacht! Die ze op eten.

Dit leek me nou echt zulk heerlijk nestmaterial voor mn hamster..zo lekker warm en zacht en het staat ook zo mooi natuurlijk...maar de fokster waar mijn hamster vandaan komt gebruikte nestmateriaal van papier en ook de winkel waar ik haar kocht gebruikte datzelfde papieren nestmateriaal. Dat is dus vertrouwd voor haar en heeft haar voorkeur dus hou ik het voortaan maar bij papieren nestmateriaal. Is ook heerlijk warm en zacht hoor.

Ik vind Kapok erg leuk nestmateriaal voor mijn hamster. Hij gaat er ook echt mee aan de slag en is er gek op. Ik breek de kapok door de helft en leg de ene helft in het verblijf de andere bewaar ik altijd voor later. Het is zeker een aanrader ;)
