Trixie Vitamin Granules are a tasty supplementary vitamin pellet for rodents and rabbits. The granules can be used as a supplement to the daily diet when you want to provide targeted extra vitamins. Because it is in pellet form, it is a practical alternative when drops are less convenient or are not absorbed well via water or food.
Vitamins play an important role in the bodies of rodents and rabbits. The foundation always remains an appropriate main diet, tailored to the species, supplemented with hay where appropriate for the animal, fresh food where suitable, and clean drinking water. Therefore, you use a supplement such as these vitamin granules as a supplement, not as a replacement for a good basic diet.
✔ Dietary supplement: useful when you want to offer extra vitamins alongside the daily basic diet.
✔ Granular form: convenient when drops are less practical or do not suit your feeding method well.
✔ Tasty granules: many animals accept pellets more easily than liquid supplements.
✔ Versatile: suitable for various rodents and rabbits.
✔ Easy to dose: the amount is tailored to your animal's body weight.
A supplement in granular form is practical when you prefer not to work with drops. With drops in drinking water, it is sometimes harder to know exactly how much your animal is actually ingesting, because drinking behavior can vary from animal to animal. Granules can be offered more specifically, for example alongside the food or mixed with a small portion of food.
This makes vitamin granules particularly convenient for owners who want to keep track. You can better see if the supplement is being eaten and you can adjust the dosage according to body weight. This fits well with careful feeding: not just giving extra, but supplementing specifically when there is a reason to do so.
If a deficiency, illness, poor appetite, weight loss, or abnormal behavior is suspected, a supplement is not a substitute for advice from a veterinarian. In that case, it is important to first determine why your animal seems out of balance.
Always use supplements consciously. More is not automatically better. An animal receiving good, appropriate nutrition does not always need extra vitamins. Therefore, consider the animal species, current food, age, condition, and the reason why you want to provide extra supplementation.
Follow the dosage based on your animal's body weight:
Use a level teaspoon and dose accurately rather than generously. Body weight makes a big difference, especially with small animals. For mice, dwarf hamsters, and small gerbils, half a teaspoon is already a generous dosage category, so pay close attention to your animal's current weight.
Guinea pigs require extra attention when it comes to vitamin C. They depend on sufficient vitamin C through their diet. A good guinea pig diet is therefore the foundation, optionally supplemented with suitable fresh food or a targeted supplement when necessary.

Vitamin granules can be useful when you want temporary extra support, when drops are not practical, or when your animal accepts a supplement better in pellet form. It can also be convenient for owners who do not want to add the supplement to the drinking water.
Do not use a supplement to permanently correct an unsuitable basic diet. The foundation must be right: choose food that suits your animal's species, age, and nutritional needs. Only then can you properly assess whether supplementation is worthwhile.
Some animals eat new pellets immediately, while others need to get used to them. Offer the granules gradually and, if necessary, mix them with a small portion of familiar food. Do not give a large amount right away, but first see if your animal accepts it.
With group animals, it is important to check that every animal is getting something. A dominant animal may claim supplements or treats more quickly. Therefore, consider giving the granules separately or distributed across multiple feeding spots.
Store the vitamin granules in a dry, cool, and tightly closed place. Do not expose to direct sunlight and prevent moisture from accumulating in the packaging. Close the packaging tightly after use to keep the granules intact.
The full composition and analytical constituents are listed on the product packaging. Always check these if your animal is sensitive to certain ingredients or if you want to specifically combine a supplement with special food.
