JR Farm Dill Harvest for Rodents & Rabbits!

rodent herbs friendly to bees and butterflies Dill belongs to the natural food of rodents. They come across dill everywhere in the wild and love to nibble on it. Dill is a particularly aromatic plant and is rich in fiber and vitamins. A natural snack and also fun for a natural rodent enclosure!

Pure Nature Straight from the farmer!
Rich in fiber and essential oils
Supports digestion and stimulates appetite
Ideal for Hamsterscaping & Gerbilscaping !

The harvest is 100% natural, untreated and comes directly from the farmer. For that reason, there may still be biodiversity.

History of the Dill plant
Dill was already used as an analgesic in the time of the pharaohs; in ancient Greece, dill was placed on the eyes to aid in falling asleep. In the kitchen, soups, sauces, fish and meat are seasoned with dill. The ripe seeds can be used as a substitute for caraway seeds.

Is the Dill Harvest suitable for Hamsterscaping?

Yes, of course! It is very nice to use for Hamsterscaping , not only as a natural decoration, but also as a healthy and natural snack for the animals. It's actually a very natural approach to how the wildlife also source and pick their herbs.

Do all Rodents and Rabbits like the Dill Harvest?

Yes for sure! The Dille Harvest falls under the harvest with herbs , which is different from harvest with seeds or harvest with leaves . The harvest with herbs is best suited as food for herbivorous (plant-eating) rodents (guinea pig, chinchilla, degu) and rabbit. These animals also eat a lot of herbs in the wild.

The granivorous (seed-eating) rodents, such as mouse, dwarf hamster, hamster, gerbil and rat eat the herbs less quickly, but they certainly like it! These animals eat herbs as needed.

How should I present the Dill Harvest?

There are many ways to offer the Dill Harvest, also a bit depending on the objective. You can easily place the Dill Harvest on the bedding, but if you want your animal to make an effort, you can place the Dill upright in the bedding, with a layer of at least 20 cm that is fine.

It is also possible to fix it to the bars of the accommodation with a snack clamp .
It is also possible to attach the Dill to glass by means of a suction cup clamp .

Does Dille Oogst give rodents a challenge?

Yes for sure! Dille Harvest creates a lot of challenge because the animals have to harvest the herbs themselves from the plant. After all, the herb is not offered separately, but really has to be picked from the plant and that provides extra enrichment, which we also call feed enrichment.

How is the Dill Harvest stored with us?

It is nice to know that we receive this crop directly from the manufacturer and can therefore offer very good freshness. In our warehouse, the harvest is kept cool, dry and UV-free. The latter is important to prevent the breakdown of nutrients by UV light. We therefore recommend that you always store the harvest in a dark, cool and dry place.

Staat heel decoratief in het hok. Mn hamstertje lust t echter niet...komt goed uit dan hoef ik niet steeds nieuwe te kopen en kan ik het gewoon ter decoratie laten staan.
