The JR Farm Nibble Roll is a natural wooden snack roll for rodents and rabbits. The roll has a sturdy hardwood base and is enriched on the outside with tasty ingredients. This allows your animal to sniff, nibble, explore, and quietly engage in a natural snacking activity.

You can choose from four variants: Carrot, Parsley, Dandelion, and Protein. The Carrot, Parsley, and Dandelion variants are plant-based and suitable for all rodents and rabbits. The Protein variant contains mealworms and is therefore intended for mixed-sex (omnivorous) rodents such as mice, dwarf hamsters, hamsters, gerbils, and rats.

Place the chew roll loosely in the enclosure or use it temporarily as an enrichment activity. The roll fits nicely into a natural setup, a foraging corner, or a snack time where your animal has something to explore on its own.

Which variant suits your pet?

Choose the variant that suits the animal species and the normal feeding pattern. For rabbits, guinea pigs, degus, and chinchillas, choose the plant-based variants. For animals that may also receive animal protein, such as hamsters, mice, gerbils, and rats, the Protein variant can be a nice extra variation.

Use & offer

Place the chew roll on a dry, stable spot in the enclosure. Let your animal calmly discover what there is to sniff and nibble on the roll. You can also offer the roll temporarily during playtime so that it remains extra interesting.

Check the roll regularly. Remove loose residue when it is no longer fresh and replace the product when it is heavily chewed, has become wet, or no longer stays neat.

What does this compound mean?

All variants have hardwood as a sturdy base. This makes the roll interesting as a nibbling and discovery object. The differences lie mainly in the outer layer. Carrot is somewhat sweeter and richer in vegetables, Parsley and Dandelion are more herbaceous, and Protein contains a small amount of an animal protein source.

In addition to seeds, peanuts, and sunflower seeds, the Protein variant also contains 0.5% mealworms. Therefore, this variant is intended for rodents that eat a mixed diet. For herbivores such as rabbits, guinea pigs, degus, and chinchillas, the plant-based variants are the right choice.
