JR Farm Special Herbs is a supplementary herbal mix for rodents and dwarf rabbits. The mix contains beetroot, oat, wheat and pea flakes, carrot, parsley, puffed wheat, puffed corn, lemon balm, peppermint, dandelion, alfalfa, carob, marigold blossom and mountain meadow hay.
This mix is especially fun for owners who like to offer some extra scent, flavor, and variety alongside the normal main food and hay. You can feed JR Farm Herb Special separately, mix it with hay, or use it in small amounts as a foraging mix. The combination of herbs, vegetables, flowers, and flakes immediately makes a regular feeding or haytime more interesting.
JR Farm Special Herbs is available in 500 gram and 1.5 kg buckets. Because this is complementary food, feed small amounts. At 5 grams per day, 500 grams will last approximately 100 days. With the 1.5 kg bucket, that is approximately 300 days.
✔ Rich mix with herbs, vegetables, flowers and flakes
✔ With lemon balm, peppermint, dandelion, and parsley
✔ Ideal for making hay more attractive and varied
✔ Suitable as a small snack, reward, or foraging mix
✔ Available as a 500 gram package and as a spacious 1.5 kg bucket
Rabbits and many rodents naturally enjoy sniffing, searching, and nibbling. A mix like JR Farm Herbs Special makes a regular feeding or haytime more interesting, because your animal encounters various scents, flavors, and textures.
The composition combines herbs and plant parts with vegetables and flakes. Red beet and carrot give the mix a recognizable vegetable accent. Parsley, lemon balm, peppermint, and dandelion provide a spicy scent. Alfalfa, mountain meadow hay, and marigold blossom make the mix greener and more floral.
Thanks to the presence of oat, wheat, and pea flakes, this mix is also attractive to animals that enjoy searching for small pieces. You can mix a little into the hay, sprinkle it on a sniffing mat, or spread it throughout a foraging area. This way, snacking becomes not just eating, but also searching and discovering.
Because JR Farm Herbs Special is a complementary food, you do not feed it as the main food. For rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and degus, hay remains the daily basis. For hamsters, dwarf hamsters, mice, gerbils, and rats, you use this mix primarily as a small variation alongside an appropriate main food.
JR Farm Special Herbs is suitable as a supplementary herb mix for dwarf rabbits and various rodents. Always adjust the quantity to the animal species, size, and normal feeding pattern.
Give JR Farm Special Herbs as a supplementary herbal mix. Sprinkle a small amount over the hay, mix it into a sniffing area, or offer it in a food bowl. For small animals, a pinch or a teaspoon is often enough. For larger animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs, you can dose a little more generously, but keep it supplementary.
Do you want to use it for foraging? Then distribute small amounts in different places in the enclosure. This way, your animal has to search, and the mix is not eaten all at once from a bowl.
Allow animals to get used to this mix gradually if they are not yet familiar with it. Start with a small amount and see how your animal reacts.
The duration of use depends on the packaging and how much you give per day. Because JR Farm Kruiden Speciaal is complementary food, small amounts are usually sufficient.
