Product description

JR Farm Berry Leaves for Rodents & Rabbits

JR Farm Berry Leaves is a fragrant, natural leaf mix for rodents and rabbits. The mix consists of blackberry leaves, raspberry leaves, strawberry leaves, and rose blossoms. This makes it a lovely green addition for animals that enjoy sniffing, searching, and nibbling in the hay or in a foraging area.

The combination of various berry leaves gives the mix a natural texture and a soft, spicy scent. The rose blossom provides a floral accent and makes the whole thing just a little more cheerful. You can feed JR Farm Berry Leaves separately, mix them with hay, or hide them in small amounts in the enclosure.

The package contains 100 grams. Because this is supplementary food, feed small amounts alongside the normal main feed and hay. At 2 grams per day, one package lasts approximately 50 days. At 5 grams per day, that is approximately 20 days.

Why choose JR Farm Berry Leaves?

JR Farm Berry Leaves is a great choice when you are looking for a natural, green snack with recognizable plant parts. The mix consists mainly of blackberry, raspberry, and strawberry leaves. This provides plenty of aroma, texture, and variety without becoming a busy mix with all sorts of sweet extras.

The leaves stand out beautifully among the hay and invite animals to sniff and search. The rose blossoms make the mix a bit more floral and add extra color. As a result, this product is not only suitable as a small snack but is also great to use for natural foraging behavior.

You can sprinkle a small amount through the hay, use it in a snuffle mat, or hide it among safe bedding. For rabbits and guinea pigs, this makes hay time more interesting. For hamsters, dwarf hamsters, mice, gerbils, and rats, you can use small amounts as a green foraging snack.

Because JR Farm Berry Leaves is a complementary food, do not feed it as the main food. For rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and degus, hay remains the daily basis. For other rodents, use this mix primarily as a small green variation alongside an appropriate main food.

For which animals are berry leaves suitable?

JR Farm Berry Leaves are suitable as a supplementary snack for rabbits and various rodents. Adjust the quantity according to the animal species, size, and normal feeding pattern.

  • Rabbits: as a green leaf mix through the hay or as a small reward.
  • Guinea pigs: as a fragrant change alongside hay and guinea pig food.
  • Hamsters and dwarf hamsters: as foraging herb, for example hidden in the enclosure.
  • Mice and gerbils: as a sniffing and searching mix through a foraging area.
  • Rats and pygmy rats: as a small supplement or reward during foraging.
  • Chinchillas and degus: as a small, leafy variety alongside hay and species-appropriate food.

Usage & dosage

Give JR Farm Berry Leaves as a supplementary leaf mix. Sprinkle a small amount over the hay, mix it into a sniffing area, or offer it in a food bowl. For small animals, a pinch is often sufficient. For larger animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs, you can dose a little more generously, but keep it supplementary.

Do you want to use berry leaves for foraging? Then distribute small amounts in different places in the enclosure. This way, your animal has to search, and the snack time immediately becomes more active and fun.

Allow animals to get used to this leaf mix gradually if they are not yet familiar with it. Start with a small amount and see how your animal reacts. Remove any leftovers if they become damp or dirty.

How long does one package last?

JR Farm Berry Leaves contains 100 grams. Because this is complementary food, small amounts are usually sufficient.

Usage Amount per day Use per package
Economical use 1 gram per day about 100 days
Average snack consumption 2 grams per day about 50 days
Wider foraging time 5 grams per day about 20 days

This is a practical guideline. Use berry leaves as a green supplement alongside the daily base.

Compound

Blackberry leaf 41%, raspberry leaf 36%, strawberry leaf 20%, rose blossom.

Analytical constituents

What does this compound mean?

The composition is natural and straightforward: primarily blackberry, raspberry, and strawberry leaves, supplemented with rose blossom. The leaves give the mix a green, fibrous texture, and the rose blossom provides extra fragrance and floral variety.

This leaf mix works well as a small addition to hay or in a foraging area. A little is often enough to add extra scent, texture, and foraging fun.

Good to know

  • This is supplementary food, not the main food.
  • Give small quantities alongside appropriate main feed and, for herbivores, unlimited hay.

Ruikt heerlijk.
