Product description

JR Farm Grainless Pea Rings for Rodents & Rabbits

JR Farm Grainless Pea Rings are crunchy, grain-free snack rings for rodents and rabbits. The rings have a distinct pea flavor and a firm texture, allowing your pet to enjoy nibbling on them, breaking off pieces, and discovering the snack at their own pace.

These pea rings are especially great for owners looking for a grain-free snack that is easy to give. You can give a ring by hand as a reward, offer it in a food bowl, or hide it in a foraging spot. At DRD, when it comes to snacks, we look not only at taste but also at usage: does the snack suit the animal, is it easy to portion, and can you turn it into a fun snack time? These pea rings fit that description perfectly.

Why choose JR Farm Grainless Pea Rings?

These pea rings are ideal when you are looking for a snack that is simple, crunchy, and easily recognizable. The ring shape makes the snack just a little more fun than loose pieces of vegetable: your pet can hold the ring, carry it around, nibble on it, or eat small pieces off it.

For small animals such as mice, dwarf hamsters, hamsters, and gerbils, you can offer a ring as a small snack or hide it in the enclosure. For rats, the rings are useful as a reward, as they can easily hold and examine the snack. For guinea pigs and rabbits, you can use the rings as a small snack alongside hay, suitable food, and a variety of herbs.

Because JR Farm Grainless Pea Rings are complementary food, do not feed them as the main food. Think of them as a grain-free extra for aroma, flavor, a chewy texture, and variety. These rings really come into their own when given in small quantities.

For which animals are these pea rings suitable?

JR Farm Grainless Pea Rings are suitable as a supplementary snack for rodents and rabbits. Always adjust the quantity to the animal species, size, and normal feeding pattern.

  • Mouse: suitable as a small snack ring to nibble on or to hide in a foraging tray.
  • Dwarf hamster: suitable as a small snack; give intentionally as a treat alongside normal food.
  • Hamster: suitable as a crunchy reward or snack; also fun to hide in the enclosure.
  • Gerbil: fun as a nibbling and exploration snack; gerbils may carry away and examine the rings.
  • Dwarf rat: suitable as a snack ring to hold, examine, and nibble on.
  • Rat: suitable as a reward, snack, or forage treat; rats can hold the rings well.
  • Guinea pig: suitable as a small vegetable snack alongside hay, guinea pig food, and herbal varieties.
  • Rabbit: suitable as a small snack alongside hay, appropriate rabbit food, and natural enrichment.
  • Chinchilla: feed specifically and in small portions as variety; hay, herbs, leaves, and branches remain the primary snack route.
  • Degu: suitable as a small, conscious variation alongside a simple base of hay, herbs, leaves, and branches.

Usage & dosage

Give JR Farm Grainless Pea Rings as an additional snack. You can give a ring by hand, offer it in a food bowl, or use it as a small reward during taming or bonding moments.

Do you want to use the rings for foraging? Then hide a few rings in different places in the enclosure, in a snuffle mat, treat roll, foraging tray, or in the hay. This way, your animal has to search, and snack time immediately becomes a small activity.

For small animals, one ring or a small number of rings is often sufficient. For larger animals, you can use a slightly more generous dose, but keep it supplementary. Check residues regularly and remove any material that has become damp or dirty.

How long does one package last?

JR Farm Grainless Pea Rings contains 150 grams. The duration of use depends on how much you feed at a time. Because this is complementary food, small amounts are usually sufficient.

Usage Amount per day Use per package
Economical use 1 gram per day about 150 days
Average snack consumption 2 grams per day about 75 days
Wider foraging time 5 grams per day about 30 days

This is a practical guideline. Give these rings as a supplement, not as a replacement for main feed or hay.

Compound

Peas.

Analytical constituents

Crude protein 21.2%, crude fat 1%, crude fiber 5.3%, crude ash 2.8%, calcium 1300 mg/kg, phosphorus 4200 mg/kg, sodium 100 mg/kg.

What does this compound mean?

The composition is very straightforward: peas in a crunchy ring shape. This means you know exactly what you are giving and can easily use the snack as a small reward, vegetable snack, or foraging treat.

The analysis is consistent with a pea snack with a relatively high protein content and a low fat content. This makes the rings particularly interesting as a crunchy, grain-free variation alongside the daily staple diet. Give them as a snack, not as the main meal.

Good to know

  • This is supplementary food, not the main food.
  • Give small quantities alongside appropriate main feed and, for herbivores, unlimited hay.
  • Also try using the rings in a snuffle mat, snack roll, or foraging tray.
  • Store the snack in a dry, cool, and tightly sealed place.
  • Remove any residue when it has become damp or dirty.

In 1 woord "geweldig". Konijntjes staan te springen om een erwtje. Ze vinden het heerlijk. Nog nooit zo'n gelukkige konijntjes gezien wanneer ze een erwtje op hebben.
