Timothy Hay is a tasty and healthy type of hay for rabbits and rodents such as guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus. Timothy Hooi has a high crude fiber content which is good for teeth and digestion. In addition, it has a favorable Calcium / Phosphorus ratio. Timothy Hooi therefore fits into a balanced diet. Most types of hay are based on alfalfa and contain quite a lot of Calcium. In terms of composition, Timothy hay is most suitable for rabbits and rodents. Timothy hay contains a high fiber content (32%) and a low calcium content (+/- 0.5%). This favorable Calcium-Phosphorus ratio prevents, among other things, bladder problems in guinea pigs and rabbits.

This means hay has two functions for small rodents!
Hay is essential for guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas and degus. The animals must be given unlimited hay every day so that the intestines continue to function properly.
Hay is great for hamsterscaping! Mix the hay with your own bedding or place layers in the bedding, alternating hay and bedding.
