Product description

JR Farm Grainless Health Mix Rabbit

JR Farm Grainless Health Mix is a grain-free, varied rabbit food with a broad base of grasses and herbs, supplemented with vegetables and seeds (such as carrots and linseed). The mix of textures makes this food appealing to rabbits who enjoy searching and nibbling. You can offer it in a bowl, and a small portion can also be used for foraging.

This food is a complete staple diet for adult rabbits, always supplemented with unlimited hay, fresh drinking water, and a daily portion of fresh vegetables. Hay remains the foundation of the diet.

Nutrition in brief
Hay is always available in unlimited quantities. Feed as a measured daily portion, preferably divided over two meals. Fresh vegetables should be included daily. For rabbits that are highly selective, an all-in-one pellet can be especially practical.

Plus points

  • Grain-free rabbit food with lots of variety
  • Rich mix of grasses, herbs and plant parts
  • With vegetables and seeds, including carrots (5.6%) and linseed (1.4%)
  • Fibre-rich structure: good for chewing and foraging behaviour
  • Including vitamin D3 as part of the complete composition

Why this Health Mix can be a good choice

The strength of this mix lies in its variety: a broad herb and grass base, supplemented with familiar ingredients like carrot, beetroot, fennel, and peppermint. This makes the food appealing to rabbits who like something to do while eating. Many owners also use this type of mix to enrich their diet with aroma and texture.

Do you want maximum control (especially with picky eaters)? Then an all-in-one pellet is often the most practical base. Also see: all-in-one food and Selective rabbit food .

Feeding & use

It's recommended to only refill the food bowl when it's (almost) empty and not to give more than what's eaten in 24 hours. Because this is a mix, it helps to offer a clear daily portion so you can easily track appetite and any leftovers.

  • Always unlimited hay of good quality
  • Fresh drinking water daily
  • Daily fresh vegetables as a supplement
  • Preferably divide the food over 2 moments per day
How long does this bag last?
You haven't provided a fixed gram table for this product. Below is a practical guideline often used for mixed rabbit foods.
This is how you calculate it
  • Content (grams) ÷ daily portion (grams) = number of days
  • Guideline daily portion: ± 60–80 g per adult rabbit
  • For 2 rabbits: daily portion × 2
Tip: Enter the product content here (e.g. 1,500 g / 2,000 g / 3,000 g) and the calculation, then the map is always exact.
Calculation example
Sample content 2,000 g
60 g/day ± 33 days
80 g/day 25 days
2 rabbits (120–160 g/day) ± 12.5–16.7 days
2,000 g ÷ 60 g ≈ 33 days • 2,000 g ÷ 80 g = 25 days

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a complete staple food?

Yes, this mix is intended as a complete staple food for rabbits, always in addition to unlimited hay and fresh water.

Is this suitable for picky eaters?

Many rabbits find this appealing because of the variety. If your rabbit is a very selective eater, an all-in-one pellet might be more practical to keep every bite consistent.

Can I also use this as forage?

Yes, sprinkle a small amount on a clean, dry spot in the enclosure or use a foraging mat for additional foraging behaviour.
