Non-Slip Mat for Pet Carriers – Soft Plush Liner

Non-slip mat for pet carriers – a soft surface for travelling

This Non-Slip Mat adds a soft, padded surface to the base of your pet carrier. The top is covered in short-pile plush, while the foam padding provides a soft layer for standing or lying down. A non-slip layer underneath helps keep the mat in place.

The grey liner is a practical addition when transporting rats, guinea pigs, rabbits and chinchillas that leave fabric surfaces alone. You can choose from two sizes to suit the interior of your carrier.

Soft plush on top, a non-slip surface underneath

The mat combines three parts, each with its own purpose. The short-pile plush forms the resting surface, the foam padding adds a soft middle layer and the non-slip underside helps keep the mat on the carrier floor. This makes the liner useful when you want to add a soft covering to a hard plastic base.

The difference between the top and bottom matters. The non-slip feature is on the underside of the mat. The surface your pet stands on is plush. The amount of grip your pet has on this surface may vary. When using the mat for the first time, check how your pet stands and moves on it.

The mat sits loose inside the carrier. You can therefore easily remove it after a journey to check both the mat and the carrier floor. When preparing the carrier, this also makes it easy to see whether everything is clean and dry.

Which size fits your pet carrier?

Measure the flat inside base of your carrier before choosing a size. Take the length and width where the mat will actually sit. The carrier's outside measurements are less useful for this, as the interior may be smaller and the sides may slope inwards.

The mat was designed for Capri pet carriers. If you want to use it in a different carrier, always compare the inside measurements. A well-fitting mat lies flat, without raised edges or folds. You receive your selected size; the two sizes are separate options.

Use and care

Place the mat on a clean, dry base with the non-slip side facing down and the plush side facing up. Check that it lies flat and that the carrier door can open and close freely. Then observe how your pet uses the fabric surface.

After travelling, take the mat out of the carrier and remove loose hair, hay and other debris. Check the underside and the carrier floor as well. Allow a damp mat to dry thoroughly before using it again.

The manufacturer states that the cover is washable at 30 °C. Always follow the care label on the item supplied when washing and drying. This helps you use the correct treatment for both the cover and the padding.
