Product description

Fruit Cup Mix – sweet treat for birds and sugar gliders

Vogelwinkel.nl® Fruit Cups Mix is a mix of 10 fruit cups that you can offer as a sweet treat for birds and sugar gliders. The cups are convenient to use, easy to portion, and fun to offer occasionally as a small snack or enrichment moment.

These fruit cups are particularly well-suited for animals that are naturally interested in sweet flavors, nectar-like foods, or fruity treats. For birds, the cups can be a tasty change of pace alongside their daily food. For sugar gliders, they are handy as a small treat, for example in a food bowl, at a designated snack spot, or in combination with a suitable holder.

For which animals are these fruit tubs suitable?

These fruit cups are intended for birds and sugar gliders. Due to the sweet composition, we at DRD primarily choose this product for animals for whom sweet treats fit logically into their feeding routine.

  • Birds: suitable as a sweet treat or variety alongside the daily bird food. You can offer the cup at a fixed feeding spot or in a suitable holder.
  • Sugar gliders: suitable as a small snack alongside regular food for sugar gliders. Offer consciously and adjust the quantity to the rest of the diet.

For rodents, we prefer to recommend other snacks, such as herbs, dried vegetables, seeds, kernels, or suitable rodent treats. These fruit cups are sweet and therefore do not align as well with the daily snack choices for rodents.

Fits nicely in the wooden fruit tub holder

Wooden fruit tub holder for fruit tubs

Do you want to present the fruit cups neatly and nicely? Then this mix fits beautifully in the wooden fruit cup holder . The holder helps to place the cup more stably and immediately turns snack time into a fun activity.

For birds, this is handy on the bars of the enclosure. For sugar gliders, the holder can help to offer the cup at a recognizable feeding spot.

View the wooden holder

Always use a holder suitable for the enclosure and regularly check that everything is still hanging neatly and securely.

How do you use the fruit cups?

Remove the plastic wrap before offering the tub. Then place the tub in a clean food bowl, on a suitable snack spot, or in a matching fruit tub holder. Give it as a treat alongside the normal base food and remove leftovers promptly when the tub is no longer fresh.

After opening, a tub is good for a maximum of 5 days. In practice, it is advisable to carefully check opened food and only offer it when it still smells good and looks clean. Especially in warm weather or in a warm room, it is wise to pay extra attention to freshness.

Composition and analysis

Composition: sugar, fructose, fruit syrup, blossoms (gardenia flower, saffron).

Analytical constituents: crude moisture content 77.3%, crude protein 0.12%, crude fat 0.2%, crude fiber 0.3%, crude ash 0.43%.

Additives: preservatives, mixture of aromatic substances.

The composition makes it clear that this is a sweet treat. Therefore, this product is best suited as a small extra and not as a staple food. This way, snack time remains fun, manageable, and easy to portion.
