Product description

Dried Herb Garden 150 grams – herbal garden mix for hay, foraging, and natural variety

Dried Herb Garden is a herbal mix of stems, leaves, and flowers for rodents and rabbits. The combination of parsley stems, raspberry leaf, blackberry leaf, echinacea, chamomile, and cornflower gives your animal various scents, textures, and flavors to explore.

At DRD, when it comes to herb mixes, we focus primarily on their practical use. This Herb Garden is ideal for making hay more interesting, supplementing a herb corner, or creating a natural foraging moment in the enclosure. By scattering the mix loosely, you invite your animal to search, sniff, and select on its own.

In short

  • Herbal garden mix for rodents and rabbits
  • Contents: approx. 150 grams
  • With parsley stems, cornflower, raspberry leaf, blackberry leaf, echinacea and chamomile
  • More herbaceous texture than a pure floral mix
  • Ideal for enriching hay, herb corners, and foraging areas.

Advantages of Dried Herb Garden

Spicy mix with stems, leaves, and flowers
Adds extra scent, texture, and variety to the enclosure
Nice to mix with hay or herb mixes
Suitable for scattering during foraging
Great choice for owners looking for a real herb garden mix

Why choose Dried Herb Garden?

Dried Herb Garden is particularly interesting when you are looking for more than just colorful flowers. This mix also contains stems and leaves, giving it a more herbaceous texture. This makes it great for animals that like to sniff, search, pull, and select between different plant parts themselves.

Mixing a small amount into the hay makes it more interesting for the animals to search through. For guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, and degus, this can make the hay corner more varied. For small rodents such as mice, dwarf hamsters, hamsters, and gerbils, the mix makes a nice light bedding layer in a herb corner or wildlife enclosure.

In terms of use, De Kruidentuin sits nicely between a fine herb mix and a natural scatter mix. You can use it as a hay topping, as variety in a foraging bin, or as a subtle finishing touch in hamsterscaping, gerbilscaping, and ratscaping.

Herb Garden, Flower Meadow or Blossom Mix?

Dried Herb Garden is the most herbaceous choice of these three. Thanks to the combination of parsley stems, raspberry leaves, blackberry leaves, echinacea, chamomile, and cornflower, this mix truly feels like a little herb corner for the enclosure.

If you are primarily looking for a greener meadow mix with more of a meadow feel, the Dried Flower Meadow is a better fit. However, if you are looking mainly for colorful blossoms and visible flowers for a beautiful landscaping finish, the Dried Blossom Mix is the most floral choice.

For which animals is Dried Herb Garden suitable?

  • Mouse: suitable as a light herb mix to scatter around. Mice can search, sniff, and carry small pieces to a hiding place.
  • Dwarf hamster: suitable as a small addition to a herb corner or hamsterscaping enclosure. Use a small pinch at a time.
  • Hamster: suitable for mixing with hay, herbs, or foraging material. The mix adds scent, texture, and variety to the enclosure.
  • Gerbil: suitable as a herbaceous bedding mix in a digging or foraging zone. Hide some Herb Garden among hay, herbs, or bedding to encourage searching behavior.
  • Dwarf rat: suitable as a foraging mix for a sniffing mat, herb bin, or Ratscaping zone. Because dwarf rats can vary from one another, adjust the quantity according to your animals.
  • Rat: suitable for use in a sniffing game, foraging box, or Ratscaping zone. Rats often enjoy searching and exploring, making this mix a good fit for enrichment.
  • Guinea pig: suitable as a hay topping or herbal supplement in the hay corner. Mix a small amount through the hay to stimulate sniffing and searching.
  • Rabbit: suitable as a natural hay topping or as part of a herb and forage mix. Sprinkle a little through the hay or offer it in a forage bowl.
  • Chinchilla: suitable as a light herbal variation alongside hay, herbs, leaves, flowers, and gnawing material. Feed consciously and use especially small quantities.
  • Degu: suitable as a light herbal supplement alongside hay, herbs, leaves, and appropriate food. Mix a small amount with hay or foraging material.

Use & offer

You can offer Dried Herb Garden in various ways. Mix a small amount into hay, scatter some in a foraging corner, or combine the mix with other dried herbs, leaves, and flowers. For small animals, a pinch is often sufficient; for larger animals, you can dose a little more generously.

Do you want to make foraging more active? Then hide the mix among hay, bedding, or in a snuffle mat. This way, your animal has to search, and the herbal mix becomes more than just something from a bowl. This herbal mix fits beautifully as a natural bedding layer, especially for hamsterscaping, gerbilscaping, and ratscaping.

Store dried herbs in a dry, dark, and tightly sealed place. This way, the aroma, color, and quality are preserved as well as possible.

Compound

Composition: Parsley stems, cornflower, raspberry leaf, blackberry leaf, echinacea, chamomile.

Analysis

Analysis: crude ash 11.5%, crude protein 12.2%, crude fiber 18.8%, crude fat 3.6%.

This analysis is compatible with a natural herbal blend that you can offer as a supplement to the daily basic diet. Its value lies primarily in scent, texture, herbal variety, and stimulating foraging behavior.

Good to know

Dried Herb Garden is a complementary animal feed. Use the mix as variety alongside the daily basic diet suitable for your animal. For guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, and degus, hay remains the most important basis; this mix makes the hay and foraging moments more varied and interesting.

Because this is a natural herb mix, the color, texture, and ratio of the different plant parts may vary slightly from package to package. This is fitting for a mix containing stems, leaves, and flowers.
