Desert Rock Bowl for food or water
The Desert Rock Bowl is a small, natural-looking food or water bowl made of resin. Its rock structure fits beautifully into a desert-style setup, hamster scaping, mouse scaping or gerbil scaping. The inside has a smooth finish, making the bowl practical to keep clean.
This bowl is available as a 6 cm or 10 cm version. The 6 cm version is truly meant for the very smallest rodents, such as dwarf mice, small mice and dwarf hamsters. Because of its low, small size, this version can also be pleasant for young animals, such as baby mice, young dwarf hamsters and young hamsters. The 10 cm version is roomier and suitable for mice, dwarf hamsters, Syrian Hamsters (Golden Hamsters), gerbils and dwarf rats.

Why choose the Desert Rock Bowl?
A food or water bowl does not need to stand out in the enclosure. The Desert Rock Bowl has a natural rock look, so it blends nicely with sand, bedding, cork, moss, wood and other natural setup items. This makes the bowl especially nice for owners who want to create a calm and natural whole.
The low shape is practical for small animals. They do not need to climb over a high edge to reach food or water. Especially for young animals or very small rodents, a low bowl can be easier to access than a heavier or deeper bowl.
A fixed bowl is also convenient for the owner. You can see more quickly how much food is left, offer small portions clearly and keep the bowl in one place better than loose snacks in the bedding. When using the bowl for water, daily cleaning and fresh water are especially important.
Which size should you choose?
The right size depends on the animal, age and use. With this product, choose consciously between small and low, or slightly roomier.
- 6 cm: suitable for dwarf mice, small mice, dwarf hamsters and young animals such as baby mice, young dwarf hamsters and young hamsters. Approx. 6 × 4.5 × 1.5 cm. This version is especially useful for small portions of food, small snacks or a low water point under supervision.
- 10 cm: suitable for mice, dwarf hamsters, Syrian Hamsters (Golden Hamsters), gerbils and dwarf rats. Approx. 10 × 7 × 2.5 cm. This version gives more space and is therefore more practical for adult animals or animals that need a little more bowl space.
For adult Syrian Hamsters (Golden Hamsters), gerbils and dwarf rats, choose the 10 cm version. The 6 cm version is too small for these animals as a normal daily food or water bowl, except when it concerns very young animals.
Which animals is this product suitable for?
- Mouse: suitable in the 6 cm or 10 cm version. For dwarf mice, small mice and baby mice, the 6 cm version is pleasantly low and small. For adult mice or a group of mice, the 10 cm version can be more practical.
- Dwarf hamster: suitable in the 6 cm or 10 cm version. The 6 cm version fits small portions or young dwarf hamsters well. The 10 cm version offers more room for adult dwarf hamsters or for a slightly larger feeding spot.
- Hamster: suitable for Syrian Hamsters (Golden Hamsters) in the 10 cm version. The 6 cm version only suits young hamsters or very small temporary portions, not as a standard bowl for an adult Syrian Hamster (Golden Hamster).
- Gerbil: suitable in the 10 cm version. The bowl fits nicely into gerbil scaping and can be used for food, snacks or a small fixed feeding spot. Place the bowl securely, as gerbils actively dig.
- Dwarf rat: suitable in the 10 cm version as a compact food bowl or small water bowl. For larger groups or bigger portions, a larger or heavier bowl may be more practical.
Use as a food bowl
As a food bowl, the Desert Rock Bowl helps you offer food in a fixed spot. This is useful when you want to see clearly how much is being eaten. You can also offer small portions of vegetables, herbs, seeds, snacks or insect snacks neatly in the bowl.
For dwarf hamsters and mice, the 6 cm version is nice for small snack moments or a compact feeding spot. For Syrian Hamsters (Golden Hamsters), gerbils and dwarf rats, the 10 cm version is more logical because it offers more space.
Use as a water bowl
The Desert Rock Bowl can also be used as a water bowl. The 6 cm version in particular can be pleasant for baby mice, young dwarf hamsters or young hamsters because the bowl is very low. Fill the bowl shallowly and check several times a day whether the water stays clean.
Water in an open bowl gets dirty faster than water in a drinking bottle. Therefore, refresh the water daily and more often when bedding, food or sand gets into it. Always place a water bowl securely and in a spot your animal can reach easily.

Heel leuk klein bakje
- Klein
