Product description

Beeztees Cones Snack Balls Parsley & Apple

Beeztees Parsley & Apple Cones are small, compressed chew treats for rodents and rabbits. Their compact size makes them easy to give as a snack, but they are also great fun to use as a foraging treat. Scatter a few cones around the enclosure, hide them among hay or bedding, or place them in a sniffing corner so your animal has to search for them.

This variant is the Parsley & Apple flavor. The combination of parsley, apple, oatmeal flakes, parsnip, and sunflower gives the cones a spicy, slightly fruity, and crunchy snack experience. Because the ingredients are compressed, your pet really has to nibble for a moment to get to the snack. This makes the snacking moment more active and interesting than a single treat that is gone immediately.

Why choose small snack cones?

A snack becomes even more fun when your animal gets to work for it. You can easily use these small cones to stimulate natural foraging behavior. Instead of placing a single snack in a food bowl, you can scatter the cones throughout the enclosure. This way, your animal has to sniff, search, grab, and nibble.

For hamsters, mice, and gerbils, the cones fit nicely into a foraging corner or scape. You can hide them, for example, between the bedding, in a cork tunnel, or near a sniffing area. For rats and pygmy rats, they are fun in a digging box, treat ball, or enrichment corner. For guinea pigs and rabbits, you can use them as a small change of pace in the hay corner or on a sniffing mat.

At DRD, when it comes to snacks, we look not only at taste but, more importantly, at what the snack adds to daily behavior. These cones are convenient because they are small, sturdy, and easy to divide. This allows you to use them as a reward, a foraging snack, or as a small extra within a varied snack routine.

For which animals are the Parsley & Apple Cones suitable?

  • Mouse: suitable as a small nibble and foraging opportunity. Scatter a cone around the enclosure or hide small pieces between bedding and tunnels.
  • Dwarf hamster: suitable as a small snack and search game. Due to the size, you can dose gradually and hide the cone in a hamsterscape, for example.
  • Hamster: suitable as a supplementary snack and foraging snack. Syrian hamsters can hold the cone well and nibble on it calmly.
  • Gerbil: suitable as a nibbling and foraging snack. Gerbils are active seekers and destroyers, so a compressed cone suits their need to stay occupied.
  • Dwarf Grate: suitable as a small reward or foraging snack. Hide the cone in a sniffing box, digging box, or among paper material for an extra challenge.
  • Rat: suitable as a snack time and for enrichment. Rats often enjoy searching for snacks, taking them home, and eating them in their own spot.
  • Guinea pig: suitable as a small supplementary snack. Place a cone, for example, in the hay corner or among some herbs, so that your guinea pig can search for it quietly.
  • Rabbit: suitable as a small snack and foraging moment. Use the cones, for example, in a snuffle mat, treat ball, or in hay.

For chinchillas and degus, we prefer simple herbs, leaves, flowers, or fiber-rich hay pellets that better suit their daily feeding routine. These Parsley & Apple cones are primarily intended as a tasty change of pace for the animals mentioned above.

How do you offer the Cones?

You can offer the Parsley & Apple Cones separately, but they work even better when used as a foraging snack. Scatter them throughout the enclosure, place them among hay, put them in a treat ball, or hide them in a snuffle mat. This immediately turns snack time into a little activity.

For small animals such as mice and dwarf hamsters, you can break a cone into pieces if you prefer to offer a smaller portion. For larger animals such as rats, guinea pigs, and rabbits, you can usually offer the cone whole. Always consider your animal, the rest of its daily diet, and how often you provide snacks.

Composition & analysis

Composition: parsley, apple, oatmeal flakes, parsnip, sunflower.

Analysis: not specified.

The ingredients are compressed into small cones. As a result, the snack has a firm structure and your animal really has to nibble on it. This makes this snack particularly fun as a reward, activity, and foraging moment alongside the daily basic diet.

Good to know

The Beeztees Parsley & Apple Cones are a supplementary snack. Give them intentionally as part of a varied snack routine and combine them with appropriate main food, hay where necessary, and sufficient enrichment in the enclosure.

Because the cones are small and sturdy, they are easy to portion. Remove any leftovers when they have become damp or dirty. This keeps the snack area clean and pleasant for your pet.
