The JR Farm XXL Flower Tunnel Seesaw is a large natural tunnel measuring 60 cm long and 20 cm in diameter. The tunnel is lined with fragrant mountain meadow hay, marigold blossoms, and rose blossoms, making it not only fun to crawl through but also interesting to sniff and nibble on.
Due to its generous size, this tunnel is primarily suitable for larger animals such as guinea pigs, rabbits, and chinchillas. Therefore, this is not a tunnel for small rodents such as mice, dwarf hamsters, hamsters, or gerbils. This XXL tunnel is also too large for degus, making it less practical. At DRD, we always look for the right match between animal, size, and use, ensuring that an item fits logically into the enclosure.

This XXL flower seesaw is more than just an ordinary tunnel. You can place it separately as a spacious tunnel, use it as a chew roll, or offer it as a seesaw with the wooden roller underneath. This immediately adds more variety to the enclosure and makes movement more fun.
For guinea pigs, the tunnel is interesting as a spacious passageway, hiding place, and gnawing object. Because guinea pigs are social animals and should be kept with other guinea pigs, a larger tunnel is often preferable to a narrow model. Multiple guinea pigs can explore the tunnel, walk through it, or gnaw on it.
For rabbits, the tunnel is suitable as a natural play and gnawing object in the enclosure or run. The diameter of approximately 20 cm makes it particularly suitable for smaller to medium-sized rabbits. For large rabbits, it is important to carefully consider their build and whether your rabbit fits comfortably through the opening.
For chinchillas, the tunnel can be a nice combination of passage, gnawing material, and exercise challenge. The sturdy fiber structure and the natural lining with hay and flowers make it interesting to explore and nibble on.
You can use the tunnel in three ways. If you simply lay it down, it is a spacious tunnel to walk through. If you let your animals nibble on it, it acts as a natural chewing roller. If you place the wooden roller transversely under the tunnel, the seesaw function is created.
The seesaw function is especially fun for animals that are curious and like to move. The slight tilting requires balance and makes the tunnel more active than a standard fixed tunnel. Build this up gradually and see how your animals react. Some animals step right through it, while others initially find it mainly interesting to sniff or nibble on.
For mice, dwarf hamsters, hamsters, gerbils, dwarf rats, rats, and degus, this XXL tunnel is not the most logical choice. It is far too large for small rodents; for degus, the size is also too spacious and impractical; and for rats, we prefer tunnel and enrichment materials without hay. For these animals, it is better to choose a tunnel or enrichment item that is a better fit in terms of size, material, and use.
Place the tunnel on a flat, dry, and stable surface. If you want to use it as a regular tunnel, lay it down without the wooden roller. If you want to use the seesaw function, place the wooden roller transversely under the tunnel. The roller is intended as a pivot point under the tunnel, allowing it to tilt slightly when your animal moves over or through it.
Start slowly. Not every animal steps onto a moving object immediately. You can first lay the tunnel down loosely so your animals get used to it. Then you can place the roller underneath. Optionally, place a small amount of suitable herbs or a few treats in the tunnel to invite your animals to explore.
Use the tunnel under supervision when introducing the seesaw function for the first time. Check if your animal enjoys it and if the tunnel is stable enough in your enclosure. For animals that move less confidently, young animals, or animals that are easily startled, you can also simply use the tunnel as a permanent tunnel. Even then, it remains interesting as a hiding, nibbling, and foraging object.

Do you want to make the tunnel extra attractive? Then combine it with hay , rodent and rabbit herbs , herbal snacks , orplay & foraging . For guinea pigs and rabbits, it also fits nicely in a hay and foraging corner, where animals can sniff, nibble, and move around.
Is this a tunnel or a seesaw?
It is both. You can simply lay the tunnel down as a spacious tunnel, but with the wooden roller underneath, you can also use it as a seesaw.
Is the wooden roller secured?
The wooden roller is placed under the tunnel to create the rocking function. It is therefore especially important that you place it down properly and stably on a flat surface.

Super voor m’n grote Meissners!
Waardeloos ding. De houten balk die eronder moet is niet vast te krijgen. Kun je net zo goed een rol zonder balkje kopen. Alleen dan is het natuurlijk geen wipwap. Maar ben je wel minder geld kwijt.
