The Trixie Play Tunnel 117 cm is a long, shape-retaining play tunnel for animals who love walking, running, hiding, and exploring through tunnels. The length of 117 cm creates a real route in the run or free-roaming area. This makes the tunnel especially fun for guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, and ferrets.
The tunnel is made of nylon and stays nicely open thanks to its spiral shape. This allows animals to easily walk through it without the tunnel immediately collapsing. You can use the tunnel on its own, but also expand it with matching tunnels for even more playtime fun.
Do you want to turn one tunnel into a longer play route? This play tunnel can be combined with matching tunnels, allowing you to create more turns, routes, and passages in the run or off-leash area.
It is useful to create an extra passageway or side route. This makes the tunnel route more playful and interesting.

For many animals, a tunnel is more than just a toy. It is a passageway, shelter, and exploration route all at once. Guinea pigs enjoy running through sheltered routes, rabbits often find tunnels interesting because they resemble natural passages, rats like to explore new routes, and ferrets are true tunnel runners.
With a length of 117 cm, you are not just creating a short passageway, but a true play element in the space. You can lay the tunnel straight, shape it into a slight curve, or combine it with other tunnels. This keeps the layout of the run or off-leash area varied.
The spiral shape helps keep the tunnel open. This is convenient, as it allows animals to easily enter and exit without the fabric constantly collapsing. This is especially practical for animals that run quickly through a tunnel or go through it multiple times in a row.
For small rodents such as mice, dwarf hamsters, hamsters, and gerbils, this tunnel is usually too large and, due to the nylon, less suitable as a permanent fixture in the enclosure. For chinchillas and degus, this nylon tunnel is only interesting as a temporary play element outside the enclosure and under strict supervision, as these animals may actively gnaw on fabric or synthetic materials.
Place the tunnel on a flat, dry surface in a run, off-leash area, or safe play area. Ensure that both openings are easily accessible and that your animal can easily get in and out. Do not place the tunnel in a wet litter box and do not use it in a place where it will immediately become dirty or damp.
You can lay the tunnel straight or use it slightly curved. Make it a route between two hiding places, a passage along the edge of the run, or a playful connection between different zones. For guinea pigs and rabbits, a tunnel often works well along the side of the run, as the animals can then move around while sheltered.
Do not use the tunnel as a climbing object, hanging object, or permanent cage equipment. This product is best suited as a supervised play element during off-leash time or in a spacious enclosure under supervision.
Many animals feel comfortable when they can move through sheltered routes. For rabbits, tunnels align with their natural preference for passageways and hiding places. Guinea pigs like to use tunnels as a safe route between resting spots. Rats and ferrets, on the other hand, find tunnels interesting for actively exploring and running through.
By adding a tunnel, you make a space less empty and predictable. Your animal gets a route, a hiding place, and a playful challenge. That makes the Trixie Play Tunnel a simple way to make a run or off-leash area more interesting.
The Trixie Play Tunnel can be expanded with matching tunnels. This is especially fun when you have a larger run, rabbit room, or ferret room. With a T-junction, you can create a side route. With an extra-large tunnel, you can extend the play route.
Start simply with one tunnel and see how your animal reacts. If the tunnel is actively used, you can expand later. This way, you build up the play area step by step and choose only expansions that truly suit your animal's behavior.
The tunnel is made of nylon with spiral reinforcement. Nylon is lightweight, flexible, and suitable as play material, but it is not intended for gnawing. Therefore, check the tunnel regularly for holes, loose threads, wear, and damage.
Shake loose hair, hay, and bedding out of the tunnel after use. If necessary, wipe dirty spots with a slightly damp cloth and allow the tunnel to dry completely before storing or reusing it. Do not leave the tunnel outdoors in rain or moisture for extended periods, as this can cause dust and metal parts to wear out faster.
The Trixie Play Tunnel 117 cm fits well in an active play area. You can combine it with:

Fijne, opvouwbare speeltunnel voor cavia’s
Leuke tunnel!
