Good to know: For really sturdy tunnels, this works best as a comfort layer; combine it with an easily diggable base layer (see category links).

Our tip: Create 2-3 zones: a deep digging zone with basic substrate, a soft nesting corner with Cotton & Comfort and a foraging zone where you spread food.

Instructions for use

• Use as a top layer on a base substrate or as a separate nesting/resting zone
• Create several small areas (nesting corner, tunnel entrance, hiding place) for variety
• Check daily and replace contaminated parts; top up as necessary

Maintenance & storage

• Cleaning: Replace soiled areas regularly; refresh completely when necessary
• Storage: dry and clean, out of direct sunlight
• Practical: work in zones; this way you don't have to clean the entire enclosure at once
