The JR Farm Willow Basket with Treats is an edible nibble and snack basket for rodents and rabbits. The basket is made of untreated willow and filled with mountain meadow hay, a compressed hay block, JR Grainless Drops Red Beet, carrot, and marigold. As a result, your pet gets not only a tasty snack but also something to discover, pull at, unravel, and nibble on.
This willow basket is especially great for owners looking for a snack that does more than just reward. You place the basket in the enclosure and your animal can choose where to start: sniffing the hay, nibbling on the willow, investigating the hay block, or picking out the treats. At DRD, with these types of snacks, we focus primarily on usage: does it fit logically into the enclosure, does it provide activity, and does it help stimulate natural foraging and nibbling behavior in a fun way?
The packaging contains 350 grams. The basket is approximately 20 cm long, 13 cm wide, and 8 cm high. Because this is complementary food, offer the basket as a snack and nibble time alongside the daily basic food. How long your animal uses it depends on the species, gnawing behavior, and how actively your animal explores the basket.
✔ Edible willow basket that can also be nibbled on
✔ Richly filled with mountain meadow hay and a sturdy hay log
✔ With carrot, marigold, and beetroot drops as tasty treats
✔ Stimulates sniffing, searching, pulling, and nibbling
✔ Fun as a natural activity in the enclosure
✔ Nice combination of snack, hay, willow, and enrichment
This willow basket is ideal when you are looking for a snack that will really keep your pet occupied for a while. It is not a small, loose treat, but a filled basket with multiple compartments. Your pet can sniff, search, nibble, pull out the hay, and explore the basket itself.
The base consists largely of mountain meadow hay. This provides volume, fragrance, and a fiber-rich plant structure. The untreated willow basket adds extra nibbling material. The carrot, marigold, and beetroot drops make the basket more appealing for a snack, while the compressed hay block provides extra activity.
For guinea pigs and rabbits, this is a nice basket to place near a hay corner or snack area. For small rodents such as mice, dwarf hamsters, hamsters, and gerbils, the basket can serve as an interesting place of discovery in a natural-style setup. They can sniff around, collect pieces, nibble on the willow, and examine the material.
Because JR Farm Willow Basket with Treats is complementary food, do not feed this basket as the main food. Think of it as a fun extra for scent, texture, nibbling, and the joy of searching. Place the basket in a dry, clean spot and let your pet explore at their own pace.
The JR Farm Willow Basket with Treats is suitable as an additional snack and nibble basket for various rodents and rabbits. Due to the high proportion of hay and willow, this basket is particularly well-suited for animals that enjoy sniffing, nibbling, and exploring natural materials.
Place the JR Farm Willow Basket with Treats in a dry, clean spot in the enclosure. Your animal can explore the basket on its own, nibble on the willow, pull out the hay, and search for the treats. The basket may remain in place as long as it stays dry, clean, and tidy.
You can also offer a different snack from the basket every day.
Do you want to break up the snack time? Then you can remove the basket in between and offer it again later. Check the basket regularly and remove it when it has become damp, dirty, or unattractive.
Once the basket is empty, fill it with hay and herbs and turn it into a nice foraging spot for herbivorous rodents (guinea pig, chinchilla, degu) and rabbits.
JR Farm Willow Basket with Treats contains 350 grams. How long your pet will use it depends on the species, gnawing behavior, and how much interest your pet has in the various parts.

This is a practical guideline. Use this willow basket as a supplement, not as a replacement for main feed or fresh hay daily.
Mountain meadow hay 75.5%, willow 10.9%, pea flakes, carrots 2.7%, marigold flowers 1.6%, beetroot 0.9%, vegetable starch, rapeseed oil.
Protein 13.4%, fat content 3.1%, crude fiber 22.9%, crude ash 6.9%, calcium 4000 mg/kg, phosphorus 2800 mg/kg, sodium 950 mg/kg.
The composition clearly shows that this basket revolves primarily around hay, willow, and a natural gnawing texture. Mountain meadow hay forms the base at 75.5%. Willow provides extra gnawing value and makes the basket itself interesting to nibble on as well.
The pea flakes, carrot, marigold, and beetroot provide small snack moments in the basket. The 22.9% crude fiber pairs well with the high proportion of hay and willow. As a result, this is primarily a snack and discovery basket with plenty of plant texture, not a quick reward that needs to be finished immediately.
Good to know: the beetroot drops in the basket are grain-free, but the complete product is not listed as grain-free at JR Farm. Therefore, we do not list this basket as a grain-free snack.

No, that is not necessary. The basket is actually nice as a whole, because your pet can then discover for itself what is interesting: the hay, the willow, the hay log, or the treats.
This willow basket is suitable as an additional snack and nibble basket for mice, dwarf hamsters, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, and rabbits. Adjust its use to the animal species, the enclosure, and the normal feeding pattern.
At DRD, for rats, we prefer low-dust foraging products without hay as a base. This basket contains a lot of mountain meadow hay and is therefore not our first choice for rats.
For chinchillas and degus, we prefer a simple snack route with hay, herbs, leaves, and branches. Due to snack items such as carrots, beetroot, and pea flakes, this basket is not our first choice for these animals.
The basket is approximately 20 cm long, 13 cm wide, and 8 cm high. The capacity is 350 grams.
The JR Farm Willow Basket with Treats is a great choice for owners who want to give their pet an edible snack basket filled with hay, willow, and small treats. Place the basket in the enclosure, let your pet explore on their own, and remove it when it is no longer dry or clean. This way, you turn snack time into a longer nibbling and searching moment.
