Product description

Beaphar Nature Guinea Pig Food Grain-Free: all-in-one pellets with timothy hay (1.5 kg)

Beaphar Nature Guinea Pig is a grain-free all-in-one pellet food for adult guinea pigs. Its base consists of Canadian timothy hay (49%) and herbal hay (10%), supplemented with apple (5%), chicory (5%), and essential vitamins and minerals. The high fiber content supports healthy gut function, and because each pellet has the same composition, it helps prevent selective eating and leftovers in the food bowl.

Guinea pigs cannot produce their own vitamin C. That's why Beaphar Nature is enriched with vitamin C, fitting into a daily routine with unlimited hay, fresh drinking water, and daily vegetables. The chunks are firm and high in fiber, which encourages guinea pigs to chew longer (great for mealtimes) and promotes natural tooth wear.

Nutrition in brief
Unlimited hay remains the foundation. Provide fresh vegetables and fresh drinking water daily. All-in-one pellets are helpful for picky eaters: each pellet is complete, so you avoid "just the tasty bits."

Plus points

  • 100% grain-free all-in-one guinea pig food (pellets)
  • Timothy hay 49% and herbal hay 10% as a fiber-rich base
  • With vitamin C (essential for guinea pigs)
  • With inulin (0.2%) as a prebiotic fiber for the intestinal flora
  • Yucca schidigera (0.05%) for less strong stool odor
  • No artificial colours, flavours, preservatives or fragrances

Why do many pet owners choose all-in-one pellets?

Some guinea pigs are selective eaters: they choose certain parts first and leave others behind. With an all-in-one pellet, your guinea pig gets the same nutrients in every bite. This makes it easier to keep the diet stable, and you can often see more quickly if their appetite changes (useful for monitoring their condition).

Nutritional advice

It's best to transition to the new food gradually by mixing it with the old food. Ideally, divide the daily ration into two meals. Always provide unlimited hay, fresh drinking water daily, and vegetables daily.

Guideline per day (according to weight)
Guinea pig weight Amount per day
0.3 – 0.6 kg 20 – 35 g
0.6 – 0.9 kg 35 – 45 g
0.9 – 1.2 kg 45 – 60 g
1.2 – 1.5 kg 60 – 70 g
This is a guideline. Adjust based on hay intake, activity, and condition.

1500 g ÷ 70 g = 21.4 days • for 2 guinea pigs: divide the days by 2
