Would you like to give your animal a natural seed snack that it really has to work for? JR Farm Red Millet consists of sturdy red millet cobs with the seeds still inside the cluster. Your animal therefore has to pry, pick, and search for the grains itself. This makes this snack not only tasty but also a great form of foraging enrichment.
Red millet is particularly suitable for birds and granivorous rodents such as mice, dwarf hamsters, hamsters, gerbils, and rats. A very small piece can also be offered to degus occasionally as a deliberate change of pace. At DRD, with these types of harvest snacks, we focus primarily on natural use: foraging, picking, and turning snack time into a small activity. Red millet fits this perfectly.
The great thing about millet sprays is that the snack is still in its natural form. Instead of loose seeds in a bowl, your pet gets a spray to work with itself. This provides more activity, more variety, and a much more natural snacking experience.

✔ Large 500-gram package
Many birds and granivorous rodents naturally engage in foraging, selecting, and loosening seeds. Red millet fits in perfectly with this. Your pet can decide for itself how to use the cluster: plucking at it, pulling out seeds, holding a piece, or searching for loose grains in the bedding.
For mice, dwarf hamsters, hamsters, and gerbils, millet spray is great as a natural foraging snack. For rats, you can use small pieces as foraging and snacking material. For birds, millet spray is a well-known and beloved snack to peck at and play with.
JR Farm Red Millet is especially suitable for birds and granivorous rodents. Give small portions and adjust the amount according to the species, size, and needs of your animal.
For guinea pigs, rabbits, and chinchillas, red millet is not the first choice. For these animals, we prefer hay, herbs, flowers, leaves, and branches as a snack route. A small piece is acceptable occasionally, but it fits less logically into their daily diet than for seed-eating animals.
You can offer JR Farm Red Millet in various ways. For small rodents, a small piece of the cluster is often enough. For birds, you can hang or secure the cluster so they can peck at it themselves.
Because millet spray is a seed-rich snack, you give it as a treat alongside the daily basic diet. By giving small pieces, it remains easy to portion and you can create fun foraging moments more often.

This analysis aligns with a natural seed/harvest snack. The added value lies not only in the taste, but primarily in the act of picking the seeds loose oneself. As a result, red millet is a great snack for animals that enjoy searching, picking, and engaging with their food.
JR Farm Red Millet is a natural product. As a result, the size, color, shape, and firmness of the clusters may vary from package to package. Some seeds may also come loose during transport. You can simply use these loose seeds in a feeding tray or mixed in with the bedding.
Store millet in a dry, cool, and dark place. Seal the packaging tightly after use to keep the bunches dry. At DRD, we receive JR Farm products directly from the manufacturer and store them dry and UV-free in our warehouse.

The seeds are still in the cluster. Your animal therefore has to search, pluck, and loosen the kernels itself. This makes snack time more active than loose seeds in a food bowl.
