The Trixie Corner House Jesper 52 cm is a spacious wooden corner house for guinea pigs and rabbits. Thanks to its corner shape, you can place the house neatly against two walls of the enclosure. This is handy when you want to create a clear hiding place, but at the same time want to retain as much walking space as possible within the enclosure.
The house is made of natural bark wood and has an open base with two entrances and exits. This allows animals to easily walk in and out and keeps the house airy. The flat roof is part of the interior and, when the house is standing low and stable, can also be used as an extra resting or seating area.
✔ Corner model: convenient, space-saving installation
✔ Provides guinea pigs and rabbits with a sheltered resting place
✔ Two entrances provide a clear overview and easy passage
✔ Open bottom, allowing the house to fit naturally into the bedding

✔ The flat roof can serve as an extra seating or resting area when the house is stable.
A good enclosure always has multiple places where animals can retreat. Guinea pigs and rabbits like a clear view, but also shelter. A corner house helps combine these two things: your animal can sit quietly, but still easily get away through the openings if necessary.
The corner shape is primarily practical. In many enclosures, corners tend to remain somewhat quieter anyway. By placing a house precisely there, you create a clear hiding zone without the house being in the middle of the route. This leaves more space for walking, foraging, eating, and resting.
The two entrances are also convenient to use. Group animals, in particular, appreciate it when a house does not have just one opening. With two passageways, it feels less enclosed, and animals can pass each other more easily. This makes the house not only cozy but also more practical in an enclosure with multiple animals.
For large rabbit breeds, this corner house may be too small as a permanent hiding place. In that case, it is better to choose a more spacious rabbit house or a larger hiding place where the rabbit can comfortably sit, turn, and lie down. For small rodents such as mice, dwarf hamsters, hamsters, and gerbils, this house is actually very large and not logical as a standard house in the enclosure.
Place the Jesper Corner House low and stable in the enclosure. Preferably place it in a corner so that the house stands firmly and blends in nicely with the decor. Thanks to the open bottom, you can place the house directly on the bedding or lightly tuck it into the bedding.
Check that the house cannot slide, tilt, or sag. This is especially important when animals push against it, dig underneath it, or sit on the roof. Use the roof only as it naturally forms part of the layout: as a low, stable resting or sitting surface. Do not turn it into a high step or a falling point.
For guinea pigs, the house can work well as a permanent hiding place in a quiet corner. For rabbits, you can use it in an enclosure, run, or rabbit room, for example, as an extra resting spot next to a hay area or toilet zone.
The Jesper Corner House is made of bark wood. This material has a natural, rustic appearance and fits beautifully into an enclosure with hay, bedding, wooden tunnels, and other natural furnishings. Because wood is a natural product, each house may differ slightly in color, structure, and finish.
With bark wood, it can sometimes happen that some bark comes loose in a few places. This is part of the natural character of the material and usually does not affect the function of the house. The small house remains intended as a shelter, a place of rest, and part of the interior design.

No, with this type of bark wood, you don't need to worry about that. The wood contains fewer resin canals and is carefully dried. This drying process reduces moisture and natural sap in the wood, making it suitable as wooden furnishings for rodents and rabbits.
According to the product information, the wood complies with European guidelines and is inspected in cooperation with the German animal welfare organization. For you as an owner, this provides extra reassurance when choosing wooden furnishings intended for daily use in the enclosure.
Preferably clean the wooden house dry. Shake out loose bedding, hay, and dirt, and use a dry brush or cloth if necessary. If the house gets dirty locally, use only a slightly damp cloth and allow the wood to dry completely before putting it back.
Preferably, do not place the house directly under a water bottle or on a wet toilet spot. Wood looks its best when it can stay dry. Check regularly for gnaw marks, loose bark, sharp edges, or damage. Remove loose or sharp parts and replace the house when it is no longer sturdy or pleasant to use.
The Trixie Jesper Corner House fits well into a practical and natural interior. You can combine it with:
Always place the Jesper Corner House stably and low in the enclosure. Regularly check that the house cannot tilt, slide, or sag. Bark wood is a natural product; small differences in color, shape, and structure are inherent to this. Some bark may also occasionally come loose. Regularly check the house for sharp edges, loose parts, and gnaw marks.
The corner house is suitable for guinea pigs and small to medium-sized rabbits. Always check that your animal has plenty of room to go in and out comfortably.
For large rabbit breeds, this house may be too small as a permanent hiding place. For large rabbits, it is better to choose a more spacious house where they can sit, turn, and lie down comfortably.
A corner house makes clever use of the corner of the dwelling. This creates a sheltered resting place without taking up unnecessary walking space.
The house has an open bottom. This allows you to place it directly on the bedding, keeping the house airy and easily accessible.
The flat roof can be used as part of the layout when the house is low and stable. However, always check that the house cannot tilt, slide, or sag.

Leuk huisje.
